Question about Samsung TXM3296HF 32" TV
My television makes a terrible ringing noise. I can turn it on and it will be fine and then it starts. It starts out very faintly and then just gradually increases until it is unbearable. I mute the tv and it still does it so I don't think it has anything to do with the speakers. If you turn it off and then back on it does it immediately when you turn it back on. If you turn it off for a longer period(hour or so)it will run awhile before starting again. It has done this in the past, but usually would only last a few days and then it would go away. Now it has done it for a month or more. Any ideas?
I think its the flyback and its starting to leak. this is a component responsible for the high voltage of your tv set. always observe safety in dealing with this. Have it check by a qualified technician. Good luck!

SOURCE: Weird noise over everything
The problem is not with the Audio. It is coming from the capacitators on the main PCB. A tech opened up our set and reproduced the noise by slightly moving the capaicators (with a stick of some sort). Instantly, the high-pitch ring started. This problem has since came back on thew new PCB and seems problematic with the type of TV/Samsung.

It is the color wheel, inside the light engine. The bearings get dirty and makes it harder for the wheel to spin causing that whin.

This TV is horrible. I have the same one and not even a year replaced the light bulb twice. Very disappointing for a Samsung.
