Pentax K100D super lens problem

I have recently perched a Pentax K100D super. I would like to use my manual lenses on it. The lens fit on the body. But it will not work and let me take a photo. Can anyone help me?

Read the K100D manual. Go to the Setup menu and allow for lenses with manual aperture settings.

I would like to use my Sigma 600 Mirror lense on Nikon M80 digital camara body lense was used on a Pentax Super A camara before can it fit

Sorry, no. If it fit onto a Pentax camera then the lens has a Pentax mount. The Nikon (I assume you mean the D80 digital camera, or perhaps the N80 film camera) has a Nikon mount. Since the Nikon mount has a deeper flange distance than the Pentax mount, there are no adapters available to allow you to fit a Pentax-mount lens onto a Nikon camera.

Does Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DG Macro Telephoto Zoom Lens fit canon eos rebel

Sigma makes their lenses with a variety of camera mounts. If you get the lens with a Canon mount then yes, it will fit any EOS Rebel camera body. A lens with a Pentax mount, for example, will not fit a Canon camera.

Absolutely. Pentax only guarantee compatibility of their cameras with their own lenses as long as they're contemporary to the model you're using.

Other manufacturers make lenses which will physically fit your camera, but now that all communication between the body and lens is electronic they're not always fully compatible especially as the camera manufacturer often changes the technical specifications.

Check with Tamron: it's not unusual to have to send your lens back for an update to ensure compatibility with the latest models.

What does smcp -fa mean

SMCP- means: Super MultiCoated Pentax (a term that refers to the anti-relctive coatings that Pentax has been using on its lenses for years F-means it is a lens designed to cover the larger area required of a lens for Film camera use versus the smaller sensor of the Digital SLRs Pentax also makes. Pentax also makes DA lenses , which will only work with their digital SLRs. A- means it will work in fully automatic mode on cameras that have the ability to set shutter speed and F-stop automatically (most modern Pentaxes) It should also be noted that all DA and FA pentax lenses have a modified version of the original Pentax K lens mount, which replaced their first lens mount, the universal M42 used by so many early film SLR manufacurers- this concluded todays pentax lens history

I have an old Pantax 35mm SLR camera (zx5). Would the lenses still fit the new bodies or do I need to purchase an entire new kit?

Nope! Your old Pentax (and Taukimar!) lenses will still work. Any type of "K-Mount" lens will work on a Pentax digital.
