The following is a link to your computers support page.
I would suggest to contact their company and request them to send you a copy if it is still under warrenty. I this however fails i would then suggest to purchase a entirely new O/S. however this is costly. This is because the recovery disks are burned from your computer's machine ID. another words, the hard drive, set a certain machine code and those recovery disks are code sensitive. I personally have never been able to recreate a recovery from another source, even with Identical stats.

How do you put the Windows XP back to factory default in the start?

There's two ways, one is using system restore and using the oldest restore point, as long as the points weren't deleted to increase storage space.

The other way is to use a windows XP install disk and doing a fresh install of XP.

As for a system, you can restore a system like a pre-built, say a eMachine using the recovery partition or recovery disks.

Product key e machines model EL 1200

You do not need any product key to install Operating System in Emachines as it uses OEM versions of OS. If you have Recovery Disk you can use it.

The recovery disk consist of 2 DVD, the first is the System Disk (this is first disk to insert), once finished loading, it will ask to insert the second CD (Application and Drivers disk), if in case both are not working, then follow the below mentioned steps:

You can restore the computer back to factory default,to do so, follow the below steps: Turn OFF the computer, now as soon as you hit the power button, keep on holding "Alt" key & keep on tapping "F10" key, i.e Alt+f10, it will open the recovery console, select full factory restore and follow onscreen instruction. NOTE: This will erase all the datas on the computer.

You can also place order for a set of Recovery disk by calling Acer Technical support at 1 800 816 2237

Thanks and regards,

I reinstalled my dads emachines e4256 with a Vista - had vista before also... after reinstall i came to think of the recovery-partition, and as theres a mismatch in Vista-versions, I would rather go use...

Restart the computer and right at the begining of the power-up process for just a short while, an "emachine" screen appears plus a choice of using some function keys. As soon as this screen appears (you have to be fast and ready as the time window is very small) press [Alt]F10 (hold down the "Alt" key and keep pressing and releasing the F10 key) continuously until a screen comes up giving you the choice to factory restore. Just take the option to restore the operating system.
This process wipes all data from the disk, so you will loose any of your files that might be on the hard disk. It is like a full reinstall and can take about an hour. The machine will shut down and restart several times by itself.

How can i reset my emachines e525 laptop to factory settings as i have tried and i cannot find out how, i also forgot to create a backup disk so i can not use one of them.

Have you try to press the F11 button ?
Turn off the computer, press the "Power" button. Wait for the eMachine's computer to reach the screen that reads "Press F11 to start recovery." Once this screen appears, press the F11 key on the keyboard multiple times to make sure that it registers. If the recovery screen does not come up, you will need to turn the computer off and back on again and attempt to press the F11 button again when the prompt appears.
After doing that is only necessary to follow the steps.

Have no disc to install

Is there a utility program on your computer that can be used to "burn" a "System Recovery" set of CD/DVD disks?

Or, if it is a brand-name computer (Dell, HP, IBM, eMachines) you can telephone the manufacturer and order a replacement set of "System Recovery" disks. Probably about $20, plus $20 for overnight-courier.

I dont have motherboard cd but i want to reinstall th window xp

What manufacturer and model-number of computer?
The "big" names (IBM, Dell, Gateway, eMachines) will sell you
(for about $20) a replacement set of "System Recovery" CD/DVD disks. Add $20 for overnight-courier shipping.

Use those disks to reinstall Windows, with the correct motherboard device-drivers.

Hi i lost my disk installation what can i do to get a disk or a softwere download

If it is a Dell, or IBM, or Lenovo, or eMachines, you can contact the manufacturer, and order a replacement set of "System Recovery" CD-ROMs. IBM charges $30 for the disks. IBM and eMachines charge for the shipping. In one case, Dell did *NOT* charge me anything!

Windows vistas download disk for my emachine i can restore my computer.

Hello jmackfreebal,
If the PC did not come with the Vista install disc or Recovery disc's, more than likely you can contact eMachine Customer Support about purchasing the Recovery Discs. Or maybe ask the store where you bought it if they can help. The worst case scenario is that you have to buy your own personnal copy of Vista. I know that all of this sounds bad, but without the discs there really isn't much that can be done.

I have an emachine T4697. Had to replace the motherboard, cpu, and hard drive. The installation disks (recovery) cds that came with the original computer won't install. Need help.

The installation disk that comes with a computer isnt for installing your operating system. Its for re-installing your drivers and such. So if you have formatted your hard drive you will have to install with the actual disk. The only way a recovery really works good is if you have created a backup.
