I take the images that you are trying to view have been taken on that camera??
Also that camera should have formatted that particular card at least once.

Model dc164. How do I view photos without memory card?

That model uses a DVDR/RW type discs plus a memory card (SD, MMC or Sony Memory Sticks). To view photos from the disc simply go into view mode and use the joystick to move to the image you want to view. If you want to transfer images you need the USB cable that came with it and the original software to transfer images from the disc. While capturing video you can snap images but only to a memory card/stick. No card/stick while shooting video, then nothing was captured and the only way you can get any images is transferring a frame(s) from the video using the USB cable and their included software.

Here are links to the manufacturer website where you can still download the software that came with that model and a second link to view/save the manual in PDF format. Information to read in the manual are on pages 95 & 108.

Unable view images computer

I need more detail about what you are doing though. Are you removing the card and placing it in the computer or are you connecting your camera to the PC using a USB cable? If it is just the photos you have on the card that are messed up, try to copy the photos you can see to the PC. Try to transfer them all to a folder on the PC. You may be able to recover your photos with software. You can download "Recuva" free at this site: http://www.filehippo.com/download_recuva .This software can recover corrupted files. You should have the memory card in a USB adapter connected to the PC for this software to work well. Your card probably needs to be formatted, using the menu on your camera, after you have recovered your photos. That is the most common cause of file errors in cameras. It is good practice to format you memory card fairly often after the photos have been removed. If you have a second card, try taking three or four pictures on it and see if you can access them okay. That would prove there is nothing wrong with your camera.

Why won't my sd card play back some images on my Canon Rebel XS?

sounds like the memory card could be having and issue and there might be a fifty fifty chance of getting those photos from the memory card though....i fear those photos could be corrupted and unreadable by the camera itself or your pc

I'm taking photos with my Samsung D860, and when I want to view the pictures taken, it says 'no image', 'file error' or 'card error'. Sometimes it also says 'card...

Hi,
Actually the camera is fine and the cause of problem is memory card, Mostly cheaper cards do this but the original cards don't. And as far as concern that you have lost many precious pics, No need to worry about it. Just install any recovery software on your PC and with the help of the software you can get back your pics, Secondly, shift all your pics on memory card in your PC and then format the card through camera, this will solve your problem.(Remember that run recovery software before you format the card if you need to get back your data from memory card)
Thanks

Save on to sd card

Greetings nickylaa,

To transfer the pictures to your sd card, you would want to first transfer to your computer then you can download them to an sd card. If you dont have a media computer then a memory card reader would be the easiest way to accomplish this.

I hope this helps!

My samsung s1030

An 8gb memory card to too large for your camera. It can't handle the large space on an 8gb memory card. If I'm not mistaken the s1030 can only go up to a 2gb memory card.

Problem

Two things to try...
A) If you have a card with some photo's on it then put it in the camera... Will the camera display the photos from the card in view/play mode? If so then the screen is working but the sensor in the camera may have died (the but that captures the image).
B) Try taking a picture with the camera (go through the steps to take one even though you can't see anything on the screen). Then put the memory card in a reader or a friends camera and see if the picture did get taken. If so then the sensor is still okay and the fault may be with the display.

If the display will show images from the memory card but doesn't show anything when in picture-taking mode but the camera does take pictures then the camera has a fault that isn't either the sensor or the LCD. It could then be an electronic failure or a problem with the mode selection switch.

Hope this helps to figure it out.

Cheers,
TS

Can't see the image in PC

It sounds like the images are corrupted. On many cameras, a camera-only preview is also stored alongside the image file, so the camera can quickly display the preview without having to spend time decoding the image file. When you try to apply the zoom, the camera is actually trying to decode the image, which fails because it is corrupted. This might be due to low battery (unlikely), or bad memory. You might try replacing your memory card.

How do I use the memory stick?

Recording Still images To The Memory Stick M.REC mode (Memory RECORD mode) 1. Set the mode switch to MEMORY CARD. 2. Set the power switch to CAMERA. 3. Press the PHOTO button. The still image is recorded to the Memory Card. To View photos on the Memory Card M.PLAY mode (Memory PLAYBACK mode) 1. Set the mode switch to MEMORY CARD. 2. Set the power switch to PLAYER. The last recorded image appears. If there are no recorded images on the Memory Card, NO STORED PHOTO! or NO STORED MPEG4! will display on the screen. 3. Using the (FWD) and (REV) buttons, search for the desired still image. * To view the next image : press the (FWD) button. * To view the previous image : press the (REV) button. * Pressing (FWD) when you are on the last image will take you to the first image and pressing (REV) when you are on the first image will take you to the last image. * Keep pressing (FWD) or (REV) to search for an image quickly.
