I tried this first. I even changed power cords and power sources. I am taking the TV back to the store. Thanks for your input. If you have anymore suggestions...I would really appreciate them.

    Thank You

Might sound ignorant but did you make sure the power cord didn't become loose?

Remote will not turn the TV on

Hi Terry,
It is a common problem with remote controls. The power key is used very much and the conductive rubber pad underneath wears out. If you can, open the hand set and clean the under side of the keys with cotton and solvent (after shave solution will do). It will bring back the action. At least for some time. If it does not work, go for new remote control.

My lc320slx is about a yr old and two days ago we were sitting watching tv and all of a sudden the channels started rsndomly changing, I thought something was on the remote control but there was nothing....

The control on the television itself is probably dirty or malfunctioning. Unplug the television and remove the back. Find the board underneath the buttons on the TV and gently clean off any dirt using rubbing alneeded and cotton swabs if needed.

We have a KP-51HW40 Sony that we would like to move to another state that is 1000 miles away. People tell us that the move will ruin the tv which works perfectly right now. How do we transport the tv. No...

There is no problem in moving your set as long as the ride is not too bumpy, and i mean gravel roads with potholes. You should move it standing up though and if you can cushion the floor underneath the set it would be even better.Wrap it in plastic if there`s gonna be humidity and cold and let it warm up once it`s there.have a good trip.

You can adjust the lines and make them straight. You can also in the same process, make them line up.
1. With the TV on, press the mute button the remote control so that you have picture but no sound.
2. With remote in one hand (holding it as far from the TV as you can but still be able to reach the TV with your other hand), press and hold the mute button again, with the other hand, using the control panel underneath the screen, press the menu button on the TV set.
You will notice an "S" on the screen on the right hand side about 2/3 from the left, halfway up the screen (If you did this right).
This means you are in service mode.
With the remote, curse right only once and you will have some information displayed in the upper left. The top line is Item, the one underneath is Data.
Press "7." This will display the built in cross hatch pattern. You can move the line around with the directional circle located at the center of the remote. Using the "3" button, you can decide which color to move. To move the curser to a new location, The number pad doubles as a direction key pad. (2-up), (4-left), (6-right), (8-down). To simplify the process, you can eliminate the red or blue or green lines and only focus on one color at a time. "0" will shut on/off the green line. "100 button" will shut on/off the red line. "CH RTN or Enter will shut on/off the blue line.
"7" will exit the process as well as get you there.
Power off when you are done and turn back on.
Repeat as needed.

No power when the cover slides open

It is easy to remove the front cover. 2 small screws hold it on. Try cleaning the on/off switch underneath or it may need replacing if damaged.

Remote Control Won't Work

Could be the IR detector or something in the support circuit for that sensor - it's a bit like sayin my car goes thump, thump, thump what's wrong.. :) Ahh better not go for laughs here...Let me ask, Do all the rest of the functions of the TV work okay? (ie volume, channel, power on/off)? Did you purchase the original remote, as a replacement, for that TV or some universal? When the remote quit working - was it working one-day and then just not working the next? Have you recently moved the TV, one-room to another, out of the way to clean underneath or moved it in any way? Let me know. Bill my private email is premtech@willapabay.org

DVD Player/Video Cassette Recorder

Hi It sounds like possibly there is stray RF getting into your video signal from your DVD/VCR combo to your tv. Check that your cables are ok, but also, if you can, try moving the unit in relation to the tv, if it is underneath, try putting it on top or beside the tv, I've seen the effect you describe be cause by lack of sheilding in both the tv and DVD/VCR, and moving the unit could cure it. Good Luck!
