Question about Garmin StreetPilot c530 GPS Receiver
I heard from somewhere that even though the Garmin streetpilot c530 does not have text to speech capability, that one can sort of configure it to have text to speech?
Has anyone heard something like that or know how to do it?
Kevin A is absolutely WRONG. Your 530 CAN be configured for TTS. Just Google it - there are many sites describing the steps.

No, it is not possible to configure the unit to do something it is not designed to do. The text to speech feature utilizes a computerized voice with pre-programmed street names. Your unit does not contain this programming.
