Hello this is the schematic for your entire machine click here http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Samsung-Parts/Refrigerator-Parts/Model-RS2630SHXAA/1482/0165000?searchedModel=RS2630SH&blt=11 something is up though with either your model number or the diagram on that picture up above it shows you model as a side by side and if it were a side by side under one of the trays on the freezer door there is a screw to open the acess panel and inside this panel is the auger motor if you are getting ice to drop into the bucket yet when you push the arm the motor on the door doesnt crush the ice or put the cubes into the cup then you would look at replacing the auger motor located on the door if you have any further questions message me back .I will be in flight from hawaii from tueday at 10pm to thursday morning but i will answer any questions you have if I am unable to obtain your question before I leave Thanks Rick
p.s check that diagram compared to what you have that is what came up when i punched in your number although picture up above shows a side by side so check your model number also Thanks again Rick

You will need to replacer the "fountain assembly" on the unit. Here is a link to the part you will need.

How do I remove ice dispenser from samsung rfg297aars

here ya go.
https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Samsung+French+Door+FRG297HDRS-XAA+Ice-Water+Dispenser+Microswitch+Replacement/66568
Grab the black dispenser port with a strong hand and hold the door from opening with another, or your shoulder. Firmly pull the assembly away from the door. It will take a quick, firm pull to do the deed. The assembly is held in place by several plastic lock tabs. These will give way without breaking.
pushing the fridge back will be easier than pulling it around.
Best of luck and hope this helps you.

Why are my ice cubes dispensing faster than my crushed ice. I changed the auger assembly and crush ice is still slow coming out of dispenser.

Hello Theresa;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

I have gone on many a service call in regards to this issue. People like their crushed ice.

The auger was not the problem. It is the nature of the beast.

Regular ice cubes have more density (Heavy) and exit through the door dispenser with no problem.

With crushed ice, shaved chips they are lite. When you dispense crushed ice the ambient room temperature (warm air) creates condensate and bines the crushed ice together. Fragments of the crushed ice block the dispenser flapper from closing all the way. The flapper remains a little bit open and ices up.

The manufacturers recommend after you run crushed ice that you run cubes through your dispenser to clear the crushed ice fragments.

Well, that solution is from engineers sitting in a office.

The solution is, from a old experienced field technician is: Reach up and wipe the flapper with a dry cloth. Look up and make sure the flapper is completely closed.

Ice dispenser frigidaire

Hello Friend, thank you for allowing me to assist you!

From what you have described it sounds like the issue lies with the door switch, auger motor, or a faulty ice door flapper (the flapper that opens to allow ice to dispense). In this regard, I would suggest contacting an Authorized Service Technician that will be able to assist you in the diagnosis of your Frigidaire refrigerator. Best! - Z

I described the problem poorly, I apologize. The freezer and fridge are at the proper temperature (freezer is at 0, fridge at 40). I've checked and the water flow from the wall into the machine is good...

Hello David ,

Their are a few possible reason the ice is not being dispensed,

1) the door switch is bad...the door must be closed for the ice to dispense and perhaps the switch thinks the door is open

2) the switch that is activated when pushing the lever on the dispenser is bad

3) the dispenser motor is bad

4) the control board is bad

My ice maker does not despence ice

Open the door and hold the door switch down and try the ice dispenser. Do you hear any thing. You should hear the ice door open and the augur motor turning to turn the augur which pushes the ice out the door. If the augur doesn't turn Take all the ice out of the bin and try. perhaps the motor is too weak or the augur is locked up. Take the bin out and try to see if the motor will turn with no load. The motor is behind the back cover where the bin sits. See if you get power to it using a voltmeter when you try the dispenser. If you are, probably bad motor. If not ,dispenser switch or solenoid is not working.

Ice Dispenser "Flapper" is loose--How does it reattach?

the plastic arms that move the flapper door open and closed are broken. I had this happen to me some months back. You will need to buy a repair kit from your local dealer. Explain what is broken and they can look up their part/kit number. You can't buy just the plastic door. Mine cost about $30 but was worth the price of getting my ice maker dispenser operating again. Very minor mechanics required to open this portion of the mechanism. Mostly some removal of screws and a spring or two. Good luck.

Kenmore side by side icemaker

Your product is an IDI (In Door Ice the bucket is in the door) or a Non-IDI? By the way, you mention the Ice maker. The thing is that if the ice maker is not runnning then you don't have ice to dispense and obviously the fact that the motor is working or not is irrelevant. So that's why I suppose that the problem is not the ice maker but the trajectory of the cubes from the bucket to outside of the door.

In the Non-IDI sometimes it happens that the safes in the bucket jump the locks were the bucket resides so the auger motor (the one that move the shaft so you get the Ice) is still running but you can't get ice because the bucket is not in the right position. Just try to relocate the bucket.

You can see if the motor is moving the shaft pressing the light switch that is at the top of the freezer. Then dispense, when you press the switch the main board thinks that the door is closed so you can dispense and see if the motor is moving the shaft.

Other failure mode is the flapper door, it depends if the dispenser works with full electronics or if it's an electromechanical dispenser. Full electronics dispenser use a stepper motor to move the flapper door so the failure is that when you press the pad and the flapper door is closing, if you press it again then it get stucked, the motor dispense but the flapper door is closed. With electromechanical dispenser, maybe is the dashpot mechanism.

If any of these solutions couldn't fix your problem please tell me. I think that I can solve this particular problem.

Kenmore Refrigerator stopped dispensing water

Look up through the ice despencer on the front door of the freezer. Is the flapper door open? If so it needs to be fixed. If its not then try leaving the freezer door open for 3+ hours to defrost the frozen line in the door. If that doesnt work, the water valve must be changed.(located behind fridge, take off back cord board panel at bottom, the valve is blue)... GOODLUCK!
