Question about Samsung HLR5688W 56" Rear Projection HDTV
SCREEN WENT 1/2 BLACK WHEN TURNED ON..IS THIS A LIGHT ENGINE ISSUE? HOW LONG TO FIX?
Sounds like one of the Bulbs has burnt out. This is a very easy problem to fix. You just have to remove the back panel of the TV and replace the bulb on the side that has gone black.
The bulbs can be purchased directly from the dealer. (And are rather pricey)
BEFORE purchasing the bulb...I would first make sure that the current bulb has not become loose. Try reseeding the bulb and see if it will function correctly.
