The problem is that the largest xD card that your camera can support is a 256mb xD card as long as there is no letter M or H in from t of the 256mb. The 1gb or 2gb cards are not compatible.

What type and size memory card are you trying to use? The DMC-LZ2 works with MMC and SD cards, 2GB or smaller. It will not work with higher-capacity SDHC cards.

Do you have pics on the internal memory? You must format the internal memory with no card in the camera. Then, format the card.

We put a new Memory Card in our Samsung Digital Camera (Digimax 300, 3.2 mega pixels) and get an error saying ''Card Error''. What do we do to fix this? Thanks.

If the card is over 2GB is may not be compatible with this older camera. Try to find a card that is not 'HC' type, typically under 2GB will be OK.

I have a PNY optima sd 2gb memory card and it tells me on my samsung camera card error. What does this mean?

My Sanyo camera says my sd card it full when it absolutely is not. Ive even tried uploading pictures to my computer and it tells me there is an issue. It just suddenly did this one day and I think I've lost about 150 photos from Easter and other things that I can't get back and worse I can't take any pictures with my camera now.

Card error

Sounds like the card or possibly the flash ram (built in software) has become corrupted, so that neither the camera or computer can read it. If the card can't be read, you're most likely out of luck getting your photos off the card.

Bought type M 2gb card for C-730 and the camera does not recognize the factory format and displays card error screen. Can I use this card or what is the problem?

The largest type of memory card that can be used with this camera is the M or H512mb card. The 2gb is not compatible.

Message: Memory Card Error - Memory Card Parameter Error on 4gb SDHC card

I recently bought a DMC-TZ3 and have been researching memory cards. Several sites sell cards with the camera and list the card type. I would suggest buying one of these cards. Any cards larger than 2gb must be SDHC type SD cards. There appear to different types of SDHC cards, 1.0, 1.1 and 2.0. Check out Wikipedia.org for a description. 2.0 cards are not compatable for devices developed prior to 2.0 so that may be the reason for the camera problem. So far I haven't seen anything that states what type SDHC card the camera requires. I found a computer memory site that that sells memory that they say will work. There may be others.
