Question about JVC Everio G Camcorder
I'm trying to record previously unrecorded files from my JVC Everio G GZ-MG555 camcorder using a DVD burner. Once I have the AC adapter and USB cables connected and turn the camcorder on, I don't get the screen it looks like I should get. Instead, it just looks like it always does when I turn it on to record something. Then, when I push the "Direct DVD" button, I get an error message saying "Connect USB cable". Very frustrating since it is already connected. I'm wondering if I need to change the setting on the little dial on the top of the camera. I've tried various settings, unplugging everything, replugging everything, turning everything off then on again, all with no success. I would love to know what I'm doing wrong as the card is full and we cannot use the camcorder until this problem is fixed - and we have a quickly growing four-month-old in the house that demands constant camcorder attention! Many thanks! -Ann
Go ahead and install the program to your computer and see if the camera recognizes it. Plug you camera into the computer and see if it recognizes it.
If it doesn't see it when you turn the power on, you will need a different program. Pinnacle Studio will see it.
