When i have my computer pluged up with the charger it turns on but when i unplugthe charger it SHUTS DOWN INSTANTLY ,but when i o to turn it on without the charger it still does not come on whats wrong with my computer?

The battery is dead and cannot be recharged. Replace the battery.

Try another outlet, cord/charger, with the EXACT same power specs. Has the cord plug been pulled while pluged in damaging the AC jack? Does the computer boot on battery power?

I have the same problem on my HTC HD2 T8585

I thought it was a battery, but I bought a new battery. The problem comes on when the charger is pluged and then shuts off in seconds and turn back on and to the same thing over.

so with only power adapter it's shutting down?

that is a mother board issue not the battery or adapter

This could be a battery problem or problem of your charger. Check those first. Changing out the motherboard is a tedious job and one has to be familiar with the unit to do it.

USUALLY the hard drive data can be recovered.

To do that, purchase a USB external drive pod and put your drive in it and download info into another computer.

Your battery is most likely dead to the point where it can no longer hold a charge, which is the reason that when you unplug it from the computer, it dies instanly. Batteries are pretty cheap going up to about as high as $25 and if you get it done at a ipod place, installation should not be that much.

One possible cause is the charger that is malfunctioning. Another cause may be the battery itself.

hold down the reset button for about 1 min then leave it for about 30 seconds. once you have done that try turning it on, if it does not turn on and it is completely dead leave it pluged in to your computer by using the usb cable, leave for about 30 mins it then might start to charge, if it does start to charge leave it till it is fully charged and then it should turn on. if none of that works then i don't know.
