Hey I was really hoping that someone could help me figure out for sure what pins I need to do in order to flash the bios on my Dell Inspirion 1525 with board U53. I thouht it was the 4 and 6 pins but my friend thought it was the 2 and 7. Does anyone know for sure? Please help?

You do not have to change any pins on your laptop to flash it.

if this fails you'll have to contact Dell who naturally are very strict about handing out reset pass codes and you'll have to prove ownership of your 1525...

UBCD4Win is a bootable CD which contains software that allows you to repair, restore, or diagnose almost any computer problem also has a bios reset tool which can remove your password and bios password
you will have to burn it to a disk as an ISO
During the boot process you will see on the screen to press a certain key to enter setup
Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS the scroll down to advanced bios features press enter change your first boot device to cd,press escape then press f10 to save to cmos to restart
(note after you have removed your password you will have change fist boot back to your hard drive)

You are not looking for a chip on the motherboard, you can reset your motherboards CMOS password by removing the circular silver battery (which should come out very easily) and then replacing it. Many motherboards also have a series of pins with covers on them that can be orientated to reset the CMOS, try checking your computers manual for those. Its not recommended that you remove any chips from your motherboard. Hope this helps.

You need to install the Dell's device drivers ie. audio, LAN driver ets.
You can download the drivers from Dell WEB site, thesupport download page. Make sure you select your model desktop or laptop,better still, type in the Service Tag number, it is printed on the label on thebottom of the laptop and on the back or sides of a desktop. (If the Service Taglabel is missing then go into the BIOS setting and on one of the BIOS pages,the Service Tag number will be displayed). This will open the page where thespecific drivers for your model computer are located. Also make sure you selectthe Windows XP or Vista version of the drivers for your Windows operatingsystem. Cannot get dell inspirion 1721 to find hard drive on system restore
Try restarting, and pressing f2 to access the bios, and making sure the bios is recognizing the hard drive..

If it is not, you will need to flash the bios for your machine..

Attempting to reset the bios password on dell insiron 1525
Hi!!Usually DELL passwords are stored in eeprom memoriesthat has to be read or writen to remove / bypass the BIOS password!!! Passwordgenerate a hash code that will appear after 3 wrong password attempts and ithas a 5 digit decimal format "xxxxx"


Another way to obtain password is by generate a unlock code or master password from the service tag that comes with the laptop in the bottom in the sticker (service tag "xxxxxxx")

Locked out by password on dell inspirion 1525 how do i re install vista
If you have the vista disk, then just put it into the drive, and reboot. You may need to change bios boot order, which can be done by pressing f8 as the computer starts up, and selecting the dvd drive. If this does not work, then please refer to your user manual for the correct key to press. If you can boot, then the installation is self explanatory. Give it you country and keyboard layout, and then when the screen shows "install vista" button, undeneath it is a repair vista button link. Click this, and select your existing installation. From there it may ask you about "system restore" press cancel, and then hopefully, it will restore.  Hope this helps.
