Hello,
There is no drivers necessary for this printer to work with vista.
Please refer to this website for more information.

It should be just plug and play.

Thanks for using Fixya,
Lolita

I have upgraded to a DellXPS Desktop computer and am having trouble scanning documents using my hp officejet d145. Can you help?

Software problem, make sure you have the correct drivers for your operating system on the computer (you can download them from hp.com)- the .exe or .msi loads all the drivers plus their control program, probably some crapware too if you don't deselect in on installing.

Can't load software on new computer that is running Windows Vista

Did you download the Vista driver from HP? Here's a link:

7410 W/Vista downloads

You will need to uninstall the printer and any software you have already installed first.

I noticed that there is also a critical update for Vista users near the bottom of the list.

HP Officejet d145 print head problem

Did you replace the PRINTHEAD, or did you replace the INK CARTRIDGE? They are not the same on the D145.

Good chance that you may have replaced the ink cartridge, not the magenta PRINTHEAD which sits under the ink cartridge.

PS - in my experience, non-HP ink cartridges clog up HP printers with separate printhead mechanisms... any possibility here?

Good luck!
