Hello, Please you have to do a recovery, since you have a recovery cd that came with the laptop. The problem you see is coming either from a wrong installation of software or the operating system is corrupted. So you need to do recovery or reinstall.

Apple has started using one part number for this particular MacBook Air's screen. It's 661-5732. Keep in mind, this part is for the entire screen assembly of your MacBook Air. It'll include the camera, cables and hinges.

Hope this helps!

Blue screen on my mac book air

if you're running windows on it, and it's the blue screen of death, then you'll most likely need to reinstall.

If not, and you're referring to the blue screen on start up, you'll need to troubleshoot the boot process. Memory or drive might need to be re-seated or replaced.

My macbook air start to show me a white screen white a blinking folder inside

Sound like you have an issue with either your hard drive or the operating system has lost the plot. Try this OS About OS Recovery

If you are able to access the recovery partition then use the disk utility to check the disk.

If this does not work then take the computer to an Apple repair centre, if it's still covered by warranty the disk might be replaced under warranty.

If it's not covered, you could try using DiskWarrior 4 The Disk Utility for Mac Disk Repair Mac Directory Repair... which has allowed me to recover disks that have not been able to be repaired with Apple's disk utility.

I bought Macbook air 11"

This exact same thing happened to me, the only way I got my laptop to work again was to reinstall the laptop's original operating system software. Follow the instructions on this website:

By doing this your macbook should work again, but all information on your harddrive will be erased including non-standard applications such as word ect...

I have a new Macbook Air. It was working fine till yesterday. Today when i switched it ON, it is not booting. There is a blue screen and that is it...

Turn it on and let it boot as far as it can. Insert the system DVD that came with the machine. Hold down the "C" key and reboot (this will force it to boot from the optical drive - i.e., the DVD/CD). You should then come to the setup screen. From there, re-install the operating system.

The computer is on, but the screen is all blue

A Mac that shows you a blank blue screen instead of logging you in may be afflicted by a malfunctioning startup item. Most people have a number of programs that start up whenever you log into your computer, and it's likely that one of these programs is causing issues. The startup item is unable to load, and so it causes the rest of the computer to hang.
In order to get your Mac past this hanging blue screen, you need to boot into safe mode and figure out which startup item is causing problems. The Apple Support article "I see a blank blue screen when I try to start up my computer" tells you exactly how to go about this procedure. Basically, you must remove all your startup items and add them back in one-by-one, rebooting each time until you find the one that causes the hanging blue screen.

Hold the shift key down and start in safe mode.
Once the Macbook Air has restarted use the original install disk to repair the startup disk
