Question about Pit SSR 110CC Pro Beginner Bike

1 Answer

Baja DR 50 will not start

I have a DR 50 kids field bike that was bought off eBay now the previous owner it uncovered for 5 years in his garden and he did not have the keys. Unfortunately, I removed the key barrel and threw it away and can't think what to do next, there are 2 orange wires a black and a red wire, how do I wire it to start it? The bike is electric start and pull start but the pull start is missing also he had been messing around with the wires and I have got most of the electrics working but I can never get the starter to work off the button when I press it the CDI buzzes but nothing else happens, the color wires that I am capable of attaching to the solenoid is thick red thick black with a wire coming from the inside of the engine itself and a yellow coming from the CDI. How do I wire it to start it electrically?

Hi, Kingoflords1 if your bike has been sitting idle for months or years and you did not do any pre-storage maintenance I feel your pain it will probably have a dead battery and not want to start or if it starts it will idle and run poorly then stall, here are the following steps necessary to complete in order to get your bike back to an acceptable running condition.
1. If your battery was 2-3 years old when you last had the bike running you should replace it.
2. If you believe your battery might still be serviceable remove it from the bike and put it on a 1 or 2 amp trickle charger for 24 hours. If it is the old lead acid type with visible cells and acid levels fill each cell to the top line with distilled water and replace the caps, run the vent tube into a plastic or styrofoam cup, any cells that are cloudy/milky replace the battery.
3. After charging remove the leads and let the battery sit for a couple of hours then check the battery voltage with a volt meter, you should have 12.5 volts or better, any readings in the 11 volt range you need to do a proper load test on the battery and replace as necessary, any readings in the 10 volt range you have a dead cell and the battery needs to be replaced.
4. Drain and flush fuel tank, google " how to clean a motorcycle gas tank" find a couple forums to view the different options available.
5. Remove and inspect your air cleaner paper elements that are not oil soaked can be cleaned with a soft brush and low pressure compressed air, oil soaked elements must be replaced. Gause mesh and foam elements can be cleaned by soaking them in a container big enough to completely cover them with a solution of 1 gallon of water and 1 oz. of Dawn dishwashing liquid for small and medium size elements, for monster size double the formula and let soak for at least one hour then rinse with warm water shake off excess and let air dry, "WARNING" do not use compressed air as this will embed micro-sized dirt and road grime and destroy the mesh pattern and stretch foam elements out of shape just squeeze it like a sponge and let air dry, use a fan if you're in a hurry. When completely dry spray a very fine mist of air filter oil evenly around the whole element.
6. Remove the carburetors, disassemble and decontaminate with a carb dip or if you have EFI remove injectors and clean with carb spray and compressed air
7. Remove fuel valve and filter disassemble and clean as necessary, remove, clean, and inspect fuel and vacuum lines and replace as necessary.
8. Replace spark plugs with new ones and check for spark.

SOURCE: how do i wire up the starter control unit on a chinese DR50 engin

One of the big wires should go from the starter to the solenoid main poles. The other wire should go from the battery to the other main pole on the solenoid. The black should ground to the chassis, and the white should go to a push button start switch. The other pole on the start switch should be a fused 12volt positive wire. Hope thos helps...

Have a 1994 suzuki dr 125 se wont start . Just bought it and got it out of the shop drove it home 50 miles and it wont start . Battery is strong . Do these bikes have kick stand kill switch ? Have...

Look under bike on kickstand. If there is a switch it will be right on the bracket which holds kickstand to bike.unplug wire and clean, somtimes is just dirt on contacts that causes the switch not to make up.use some wd 40 to clean and if there is any water in switch this will displace water and make switch operational.Worst case senario jump out switch and see if bike starts,If so replace switch and you good to go Good Luck.

I just bought a 1991 yamaha fzr 600r and the previous owner said that the stator needed replaced and that's why it wouldn't start . I went to order the part and the parts store said he doesn't think it's...

Install new plugs, the stock plugs are NGK R CR9E. Clean the air filter. Drain the carb float bowls. Now make sure the gas valve is turned on. Charge the battery with a low amp charger, 3 to 5 amp, overnight. Be sure water covers the top of the plates in the battery before charging. Give the air cleaner intake a shot of starting spray when all is ready. Also, don't believe anything the previous owner said. CAMSHAFT FIT

I got lost with translation on the ebay link, but I would say no to the camshaft. The image on the site you linked was of the some sprockets only, again no. The two models have different camshaft journal cup placement. I own the '90RS model (recent total engine rebuild, so have workshop manual) and looking at diagrams (site link below) of the top end of the 2000, they have different camshaft sprocket connecting faces. The site below has exploded views of all parts of the motorcycle, 95% of DR650 models are there. Cheers.
