.prn files are generated when a user selects the "Print to File" check box in the print window. Make sure that that check box is unchecked. If you are using quick-print, instead of going through the print menu, try going through the print menu to ensure you are not 'printing to file'.

how do yo print the .prn files you have created

There are 2 ways to print the .prn file.

The first is to use the command line to output the contents of the .prn file to the printer. The command is "COPY C:\blah\blah\file.prn /B PRN" PRN is the default printer, and the .prn file MUST have been printed using the default printer for this to work.

Your other option is to convert the .prn file to a .pdf file (not garunteed to work). Rename the extension from ".prn" to ".ps". All you need to do now is run the .ps file through a PDF converter. A good online converter can be found athttp://createpdf.adobe.com/

I am trying to add my email program to the Canon system which says "NONE (attach manually) or add to what do I (computer illiterate) do

Windows 7 is very close to XP & with practice works a lot better. If you have installed your Printer on computer & you see something to print in your e-mail do this. Hi lite (blue) with your mouse (left click at the beginning & drag down to where you want to printed) In Internet Explorer or Firfox go to file - print (check selection) then print. That should do it. depending on your e-mail there should also be a print some where on your e-mail.(sometimes works also)

Print from MS Word 03 & e-mail problem

Click this link for updated drivers if you do not already have them.
When you download and install these, if the problem is still there, then you need to go into your printer program and do a printer check and it will print specific characters to show if the printer itself is printing properly.

Print from MS Word 03 & e-mail to P2015dn trouble

Hello,

This could be due to incorrect paper size. We have letter as default paper size in the driver, however, A4 paper size into the application.

Please try the latest drivers (Universal Printing Driver) from www.hp.com/support/ljp2015

Attatched e-mail pictures will not print

It is due to the fact that the senders have used pictures from a dynamically changing site itself and when the site changes your pc is unable to retrace it's location using the designated link and shows blank. Ask them to use pictures that are on their own system permanently.

Printing from the internet or e-mail

TO isolate the problem you can do a print preview and see if if looks good before printing.

If it does look correct before printing try

1) Sounds like there was a communication problem between the printer and computer.(IF the printout is garbles characters)

Typically you need to

a) Delete any existing print jobs.
b) Turn off printer.
c) Verify all cable connections to printer.
d) Power on printer

Try printing again...

or

If print previw showed "Code"

If the print out is "HTML Code" make sure you are not selecting "view source" and printing it...
