I'm surching installation software for agfa duoscan


Agfa discontinued its consumer scanner product line (SnapScan, DuoScan, Arcus), as well as its digital camera product line (ePhoto, StudioCam) in September 2001. Therefore, we are no longer able to provide any support. Agfa does not keep digital cameras or scanners, nor spare parts for these products, in its stock. A number of companies (such as VueScan) offer drivers that should allow older scanners to work with recent operating systems.

The solution is to buy a new scanner.

Printer will not scan


he HP All-in-One product displays one of the following error messages on the control panel when scanning or copying:
  • Scanner failure, power off and on
  • Scanner System Failure
  • Scanner failed, cannot make copies or fax
  • Scanner failure. Unable to scan, copy, or send a fax
  • Scanner failure, cycle power
Additionally, the scanner bulb might not turn on during scanning.ry the following solutions in the order presented to resolve the issue. When one of the solutions resolves the issue, there is no need to continue troubleshooting.Solution one: Check the scanner lightFollow these steps to check the scanner light by making a color copy of any document.
  1. Load plain white, unused, letter size paper in the paper tray.
  2. Lift the scanner lid, place the original face down on the scanner glass, and then lower the scanner lid.
  3. Make a color copy.
  4. When the product starts to scan the document to copy, slightly lift the scanner lid to see if the scanner light turns on. It is not necessary to lift the lid completely CAUTION:Do not look directly at the scanner light.The scanner light should be visible under the scanner glass to the right or left.Figure 1: Scanner light visible underneath the glass

    • If the scanner light does not turn on when the scanner mechanism moves across the scanner bed, continue to the solution to reset the product.
    • If the scanner light turns on , continue with the next solution.

    1. Press the Power button (c01602202.gif ) to turn off the product.
    2. Unplug the product power cord from any surge protector, extension cord, or power strip, and then connect the power cord directly to a wall outlet.
    3. Press the Power button (c01602202.gif ) to turn on the product.
    4. Load plain white, unused, letter size paper in the paper tray.
    5. Lift the scanner lid, place the original face down on the scanner glass, and then lower the scanner lid.
    6. Try again to make a color copy.
      • If these steps resolved the issue , you do not need to continue troubleshooting.note.pngNOTE:If the product works properly when plugged directly into a wall outlet rather than a power strip or surge suppressor, the power strip or surge suppressor might not allow enough voltage for the product to work properly.
      • If the issue persists , continue with these steps.

Driver Scanner 1248ub Driver for win7


Unfortunately, there is no compatible driver for win 7. THe Mustek support center says the following:
Scanners designed to work with older versions of Windows may not function properly after upgrading your computer's operating system.
If Windows® 7 is not listed on the product driver download page for a specific product, no support is offered for Windows® 7. Newer scanner products available will have support for Windows® 7.

Solution two: Clean the scanner glass and scanner lid
If the scanner glass or the white underside of the lid has fingerprints, smudges, lint, dust, or other debris, this can slow performance and affect copy and scan quality. To resolve this issue, clean the product.Before you begin, gather the following materials:Several clean, soft, lint-free cloths

Mild glass cleaner
CAUTION: Use only glass cleaner to clean the scanner glass. Do not use cleaners that contain abrasives, acetone, benzene, or carbon tetrachloride. These substances can damage the product. Avoid isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) because it can leave streaks on the glass.
  1. Press the Power button (c01602202.gif ) to turn off the product.
  2. Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.

  4. Spray a clean, soft, lint-free cloth with mild glass cleaner.

    • Distilled, filtered, or bottled water (tap water might damage the product)
  2. Remove any documents from the document feeder tray.

Solution one: Check the scanner light
  1. Follow these steps to check the scanner light by making a color copy of any document.
  2. Load plain white, unused, letter size paper in the paper tray.
  3. Lift the scanner lid, place the original face down on the scanner glass, and then lower the scanner lid.
  4. Make a color copy.
  5. When the product starts to scan the document to copy, slightly lift the scanner lid to see if the scanner light turns on. It is not necessary to lift the lid completely.
The scanner light should be visible under the scanner glass to the right or left.

Solution two: Check the power connection

  1. Press the Power button to turn off the product.

I'm getting a color line going down the page on my pictures and the quality of the picture is no good
