Question about Televison & Video
Okay...I'm not stupid, but I've tried everything!
menu --> setup --> cc --> mode --> off
It does nothing...I can go in and change the font size and other details and the changes happen...
When I do mode "off" no changes happen....
Any advice would be greatly appreciated... (And yes, we do have cable, but it seems to be all controlled by the TV alone...)
I know I'm missing something...
Here's the solution...solved last night...And I'm not stupid, but Comcast is...
Our Comcast box has a flaw so says the tech support after 2 hours on hold...As much as I don't like Comcast, I have to say the English-speaking tech support person is a miracle worker...I thanked him over and over again...
If you have this problem with an HDTV and Comcast, try this: Press the power button on your cable box as soon as you release the button press the menu button twice.
You'll see a "secret" menu on your screen.
If it flashes by and doesn't stay, don't worry...
Repeat the process...Sometimes it takes 10 times or more to work (you can also try holding the menu button for 5 seconds after you release the power button).
When you get the screen use your arrow keys on your remote to select "disable" on the closed captioning option...Click ok on your remote and press power on your box.
