SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Function key doesn't work

Hello, if the key is broken (Won't work at all) there is no way to fix it unless you replace the keyboard. You can however look for the: ATK / KB Filter Utility for Asus machines and that will give you access to some of the hotkey functions without having to use the fn key itself. You can find that here: http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=ATK_package&os=30

Unfortunately the fn key is not part of standard bios's as far as I know for most machines so you can't remap it to another key. You might be able to switch the [fn] function around though so you don't have to press the [fn] key to use the hotkeys.

It will look something like this: http://cdn4.thetechjournal.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/action-keys-bios-as7d889we79we7r9ew5rty321u32.jpg

To get there hold [F2] whilst powering on the machine and you should see something similar to that pic. Once done save and exit.

Please bare in mind that if you do this you will only be able to us the hotkeys in windows unless it's a keyboard specific command, e.g [Ctrl] + [Shift] + [F4].

Hope that helps

When fortress 101 is active it will see a thumbdrive, but says it's empty. when fortress 101 is inactive it will show 16gig of information.

Part of the program's design is to block both local and removable drives. That is supposedly one of the options, so the admin may be able to change that.

How do i paste a message that somebodt has asked me to put on my status

The best solution to this problem would simply be to copy and paste the text, hold a left mouse click at the end of the text and while still holding the click, move your mouse to the front of the text. Once the correct amount of text is highlighted, press CTRL and C at the same time (command and C if using a MAC) the go to your status as if you were to type something in and press CTRL and V (command and V if using a MAC. this should paste the highlighted text into your status, from then just post it and it should be complete

It has been reported that it is possible for a local user to disable Fortres 101. By pressing and holding the Windows key in combination with the 'F' (letter F) key for a period of 30 seconds or more, Fortres 101 exits. This removes the protection given by the software.

Someone is probably playing a prank on you. Disable the services one by one until you find the program that is assigning those programs hotkeys so programs can't run with hotkeys.

The program is irrelevant , it is a basic function of Windows.
Two possiblities:
1: Intel hotkey is messing things up. Disable it.
Start > Run
Type msconfig
Hit OK
Go to the startup tab.
Uncheck hkcmd.exe
Hit OK.
Restart.
2: If that doesn't do it , you can work around the issue by using stickykeys.
Go to control panel, accessibility options.
Put a check in use stickykeys.
If you double tap ctrl it will lock it down while you are selecting things. Tap again to release it.
Hope that helps.
Oh, and +5 bonus points for using incontiguous correctly in a sentence ; )
