The standby light flashes 7 times then pause and repeat.

Seven blinks - High voltage shutdown. The high voltage has exceeded 33k and the unit goes immediately into safety shutdown. Check power supply regulation and horizontal circuits. Power supply regulator section circuit should be troubleshooted. It is fatal to proceed trouble shooting this section, without proper knowledge in electronics, as if you want to measure the voltages to this section, the TV must be switched ON. When it is switched ON, or powered up; most of the components in this section will be dangerous to touch. If you are not handy, seek tech support. It will be more better.

Sony Model KV32HV600 No picture, no sound--red light flash on front of TV-tried disconnecting the power cord. works sometimes-usualy does not.

The red light on your unit is flashing b/c it is informing you that your unit is in need for a repair/replacement part. perhaps one of your boards are about to go completely out. Contact your manufacturer for warranty replacement or referral to local repairman.

Kv32hv600

This is the problem in vertical section. There is no vertical drive pulse continuously from deflection processor. May be dry soldered in vertical output section or failure in jungle ic setion. Without getting continuous pulse from system the processor shuts the tv to the protection mode. This can be serviced by the qualified technicians only.
