When I go to start my 93 Bonneville it loses all power and sometimes wont even crank, just click. I can jump it and once started it runs fine at 14 volts. I've changed the starter, alternator, negative cable and battery. Even if i drive for an hour and shut it off and immediatly try to start it it drains down. What can i do?

Quick question, does the "security" light illuminate on the dash when you put your key forward and when it wont turn over? Do you have a little black chip in your key?

HYUNDAI MATRIX GSI TD WONT START FROM THE KEY, BUT WILL START AND RUNS FINE IF YOU TOW IT A FEW FEET

Maybe your system voltage while cranking is dropping below a certain threshold that your ignition system requires to both spin the starter motor and run other critical system components. Assuming this is the diesel model, you may benefit from measuring voltage while cranking or attempt a jump start (get reserve power from another vehicle that has the same system voltage as yours). The fact that a bump start works, and normal start will not leads to this advice. Good luck.

My 93 pontiac bonneville will start sometimes and wont most of the time

Next time it does this have can of starting fluid handy, spray it into the air intake hose and see if it starts, if it does and dies out the fuel pump is defective.

Car won't start. Sounds like the engine flooded. Not the starter. Also loses power going uphill and when accelerating.

Check Engine Light flashing when accelerating ,severe engine misfire . Something in the ignition system is breaking down under a load . If the starter engages an spins the engine when you turn the key to start an it doesn't start an run , it has no spark or fuel pressure . If you don't know this or how to diagnose .suggest you take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop . Pull two plug wires off the top of the same coil an crank the engine , if you do not see a spark jump from one coil tower to the other you have an ignition system problem . ignition module or crankshaft position sensor

1995 pontiac bonneville stalls

I just went through lots of troubleshooting and expense on my 1996. Whenever I would lift my foot off the accelerator and was below about 30 mph, the rpm's would starts jumping around and sometimes it would stall. If I gave it a little gas (accelerator), I could sometimes keep it running. It also backfired once in a while. Starts right back up. Also, if I let it idle while in part, it would die after 1-2 minutes.

I ended up finding a hole in the fuel regulator. About a ~$70 part if you get an AC Delco, but very simple to change.
