It would really help to know who the manufacturer is and the model number.

My elderly neighbour is trying to light her Hygena Classi Oven built in when she turns the knob to the required number no gas is coming out to light it.

Hello Jean;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

There are several different components that may be at fault for this problem. The most probable is a bad gas ignitor. Your ignitor may either be broken or too weak to open the gas valve.

On built in wall ovens:
1.) Remove the oven door. Tilt it out to where is stays slightly open and lift straight up. When replacing the oven door make sure the hinges that the door mounts on are pulled slightly out to slide the door back on.
2.) Remove the cover on the bottom of the oven. You will see the gas burner and in the center of the back wall the gas ignitor.
3.) To replace the ignitor, you will have to remove the two plates below the ignitor.

Locate your oven model number. It is on a label either on the face of the oven after you open the door or on the side of the door.

Go into the internet and search; "Ignitor and your model number".

Make sure both your oven gas and electrical power are turned off before you do anything!

Please can anyone help my elderly neighbour had some work done on his car battery disconnected e has no code ford 600 cd radio code m069766

Unfortunately without the code the radio cannot be activated and you will need to go to a ford dealer to access the code if it is still in their system for which there will be a fee charged. Every radio has its own individual code. You will need to supply them with the vehicle details including the Vehicle Identification Code (VIN).

Gas dryer timer will not turn in heavy or light heat settings. will turn on perm press setting. i replaced timer and that did not help. unit not drting like it use to. took 1 hour to dry 4 pair of paints....

gas coils part 12001349,you can tell if they're bad by running the dryer and if after 15 to 30 minutes the ignitor doesn't light the coils are bad,the coils will work fine most of the time until they heat up then they fail,if the timer is on auto the timer will not move if there is no heat, when the heat shuts down the timer moves when the heat comes back on the timer stops,no heat timer won't move, unplug the dryer, take off the vent line and remove the back panel,on the left side there is the metal shute that the lint filter slides into, pull out the filter and remove the two screws on top where you pulled the filter out, take the four screws off,i can't remember if the shute can be removed on your dryer,if you can remove it or slide it to the right and pull it out so you can get your hand in the back of it and clean it out, stick a vac in the bottom of it and give it a good cleaning,if you have a long run from the wall to the outside on the vent line blow it out with a leaf blower, you should also take off the front panel and vac that out so you don't have a fire, there's an open flame in there so you want to make sure it's clean, this should be done once a year,if this doesn't help and the coils aren't shutting down, there are two thermostats in the back, one on the blower wheel housing and the other on the right side on the heat duct,i would change them out, hope this helps,if i can help you with anything else let me know

1999 Kenmore side by side fridge not cooling

You're frosting up due to either: bad defrost timer/heater or low gas. I'm assuming that you completely defrosted the unit, that there are no open liquids inside and the door remained closed most of the time to remove the threat of excess moisture in the box.

Defrost timer issues:

The unit should 'rest' about 1-2 hours a day where you don't hear the compressor and the unit should try to melt the ice. It has a heater to do that. The timer or the heater or a connection could be bad.

More likely: you've got a low gas situation. The way to check is that the compressor should come on at some point. Check the larger tube. Is should get frosty and then clear off or stay wet. It might even dry off. If it remains frosty...you're low on gas. Depending on the type of gas you need...it may be R 12...they unit may be unrepairable by other than a licensed tech.
