Loosen the chain enough so that you can remove it from the sprocket above the motor unit. With the door closed run the motor until the sprocket turns clockwise and stops. With everything attached replace and tighten the chain. Some adjusting of the up and down limits will probably be required.

My gear driven garage door opener is making a loud noise

I did garage doors for 20 years and I am going to say it's not the plastic
pinion gear but the 7" three piece metal screw in the center of the rail that goes from the head unit to the wall just above the top of the door that needs lubricated. It spins inside metal to metal and will make a heck of a racket if it is dry. Buy a spray can of lithium grease and disengage the garage door and start the opener and spray the complete screw front wall to the head unit and your done.
Reconnect your garage door and give that a try, I bet that solves your
problems.
Do this every couple of years. :0)

Why wont the replaced liftmaster sprocket turn clockwise after replacement?

Looking down at the sprocket. When it turns clockwise it is closing the door and when it turns counterclockwise it will be opening the door.

It's not a remote part that I replaced it's the plastic gear of the garage door on the ceiling of my garage. Now it does not work. Only goes up and down 2 feet when I press the wall button in my gara

Make sure you put the black cup back on the end of the motor shaft and that it is pressed all the way on. Make sure the RPM sensor is plugged in. If neither of these are the issue, then you probably did not have the motor shaft pushed all the way back when you tightened the coupler after replacing the worm gear. Loosen that coupler up and from the front of the motor (opposite end in which the coupler is on) push the shaft back as far as it will go. Hold it there while you tighten the coupler back up and then try it.

You have either a broken door spring or the drive gear in the motor unit is bad. The drive gear is a white nylon gear just in front of the motor and it will be obvious if it is bad.

Door goes up about a foot and stops

The sensors have nothing to do with your door opening. First thing to check are the door springs. One may be broken. Next remove the cover and check the drive gear. It is a white nylon gear just in front of the motor. It may be stripped.
