Try connecting it to the computer and updating it from iTunes. There is also the possibility that the hardware inside it is failing. So, if the update does not work (or if it is already updated) you will have to contact Apple to see if it is still under warranty or how much a repair would be. The Apple store would probably be able to help. Best Wishes!
