I had this happen twice, now it won't work at all. The digital clock shows a time, but none of the buttons work to brew coffee or set the time.

1. Don't overfill basket with grinds. 2. Do not overfill with water. Use the carafe to pour water into the reservoir. This is because a "cup" in coffee terms is defined as 6 oz, not 8 oz. 3. Make sure the filter cone clicks into place and that everything is aligned. 4. Try a permanent filter rather than a paper filter. 5. Only use the correct permanent or paper filter (see manual). 7. Make sure that the Pause 'n Serve isn't sticking. (If it remains closed too long the brew will escape over the top of the basket. This may be more apt to happen if the alignment of the carafe and the basket is incorrect.)

I don't think you are putting the top on correctly. Make sure you thread it correctly - it is sort of fussy! I did that once and water went all over the place!

My coffee pot is black inside & using vinegar does not clean it

Use a coffee pot cleaner such as Dip-IT. Walmart sells a product in the coffee maker area that is for cleaning the coffee maker. It cleans the coffee pots too.

DTC 975 Won't brew and beep comes on in about 1 minute. What is the problem/resolution?

I returned my first one because it was under warranty and now the new one is doing it too. I think that it clogs with scale very quickly and the vinegar and water cleaning does not work. It turns itself off and will not reset, even though we unplugged it overnight and then tried again (as was suggested by others). I am going to take it apart and see if I can fix it, because I might as well, since it is broken. If that doesn't work, I will just have to buy a new one, AND NOT A CUISINART!

My Cuisinart DTC -975 coffemaker fails to pump water. I turn it on then after twoo minutes it beeps and then shut-off. Why is it doing this and is it fixable?

My Cuisinart Espresso Maker EM-200 won't pump the water in and then the manual, one cup, and two cup lights come one and they flash and beep. What am I doing wrong?

Very slow, 40 minutes to make 8 cups

Run a 50:50 mixture of cold water and white vinegar through the machine several times. Allow the mixture to cool off after each run and use a filter to catch the debris that comes out of the heater/pump. Run clean water several times to remove the vinegar taste. This works great on our old Mr Coffee and lasts for some time before doing it again. Hope this helps!

WORKS GOOD

Run a mixture of 50% vinegar and 50% water through the unit, just like it was coffee. For the caraffe, let the vinegar sit in the caraffe for 20 minutes, and then scrub it out with a soft sponge.
