It is a gas dryer and we did just blow out the entire lint tube within the last 6 months. However, we will do it again. Since we are both currently at work, it will not be today. Will respond maybe tomorrow.

    Thank you for responding.

Hello, Welcome to FixYa, This is typically a problem associated with blocked or obstructed venting...On certain modeld, especially if it functions on "time dry" but not "auto-cycles". If it is an electric dryer and not Gas, remove the vent hose and run a cycle and observe the performance. However, some models have "preset" settings and cannot be changed aside from selecting Normal, Perm Press, Delicate etc. Let me know how it works and we can go from there. please provide a complete model number when you reply and confirm it is indeed an LG or not. Regards, Macmarkus :)

Great got it, gas, thank you for the reply. It would be very helpful if you could provide the entire model number after you check the venting. I'd suggest you try cleaning the lint screen under soap & hot water as well.

    Regards,

    Macmarkus :)

Heater has developed an annoying "roar" . What could be the cause?

The roar is from what is technically called a "Cold Burner". This occurs when you turn the burner in extremely cold weather. When this occurs, immediately turn the burner OFF, wait 30 seconds and slowly turn the burner back ON to the lowest setting, before turning it to medium or high.

The above should solve the problem. If it doesn't, it's and indicator that the regulator on the outside of the house on the propane is frozen. It can be thawed by wrapping a bath towel soaked in hot water around the regulator. It only takes a couple of minutes to thaw and the gas will flow as it should. Once it's flowing, it shouldn't freeze again, unless the tank remains in the shade during most of the daylight hours.

Hope this helped you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Dryer runs for a short period of time and then shuts down without any error code but with a "clean filter" indication. This happens when running any automatic cycle except "air dry". ...

it is proberly lint stuck around the motor and fan resticting air flow to the motor and the motor is shutting down because it is to hot vac out around the motor and inside the cabinet

There is no difference in drying between medium and high setting.

You only need a certain amount of heat and air to evaporate a given amount of water. If you don't notice any difference, use the medium setting. You would notice a difference with a larger load.

the door opening & closing on Max a/c is the inside/outside air intake door.
The temp blend door is the one you are concernd about. It says you have to remove instrument panel for access. ouch!!!

-------------------------------------
A/C Electronic Door Actuator Motor
The A/C electronic door actuator motor (19E616) is located on top of the A/C evaporator core housing assembly.
  • Its function is to move the A/C air temperature control door on command from the control assembly.
  • The A/C electronic door actuator motor contains a reversible electric motor and a potentiometer. The potentiometer wiper is connected to the actuator output shaft and moves with the output shaft to indicate the position of the A/C air temperature control door.
  • Battery voltage is applied to the ends of the potentiometer. The voltage available at the wiper indicates the position of the potentiometer. The actuator wiper voltage is sent to the control module and matched with the wiper voltage of the module potentiometer. The printed circuit board then drives the actuator motor in the direction necessary to make the actuator wiper voltage agree with the control module wiper voltage.
