It's possible that it has reset itself so that it doesn't automatically recognise digital audio input (i.e. Dolby D and DTS). Check that the inputs are set to Auto - which should recognise anything you throw at it - rather than PCM only. Having said that, if the speaker auto setup also fails (which isn't interested in input, and simply generates a test tone of its own) then it does sound like the amp has failed.

Keep us updated.

No visual for Nintendo Wii, replaced cables, audio fine.

Did you hit the input button on your TV remove to select the input where the Wii is connected? If you TV allows for Component cables try getting a set of those. It's a possibility the TV connection has gone bad. Try connecting it on another tv. or some tv's have Audio connections in the front/Side/back.

No sound for wii sports

Hi friend,
try this:

a). Make sure you have the volume on the TV turned up and the audio-video connections plugged into the same-colour plugs. Sound only kicks-in once you are at the Wii menu. If this doesn't work, continue to step b.

b). Test the Wii with another TV. If you have sound there, then it is possible that the HDTV's sound inputs plugs are damaged. Send your HDTV off for repairs.

c). If the Wii does not work with the other TV, then it is likely that the audio cables are damaged. Order a replacement from Nintendo (instructions are in the Wii user's guide),

I hope this will help you out.

How can i connect Nintendo wii to avr-590. Have

To connect a Nintendo Wii to an AVR-590, I am assuming this is a Denon Receiver, you will need to connect the Nintendo Wii to the TV, then connect audio out from the TV to the AVR-590 Receiver, and select the receiver to be in Pro Logic. Depending on the TV, if you have fiberoptic output on the TV, you would hook a fiberoptic out from the TV to the AV Receiver, but you will still not get true Dolby Digital, just Dolby Pro Logic. This will be the most effective way to solve the problem. Hope This Helps

TV ONLY HAS SNOW AND LINES. wE CAN HEAR THAT THE Wii is on, but can't see the screen. I think it's the audio/video cable.

Try the wii on a different TV. You can try replacing the audio video cables.
