You posted this in the computer section... However, and you do not provide info on your car/truck...

Most cars utilize vacuum to control the baffles that directs the air flow... when the vacuum is lost etc.. the default is to blow via the defrost vents... this may be the issue.,

Air will not come out of a/c vents

Your controls are vacuum operated. Make sure that there is vacuum present...if not find the disconnect. Or, the vacuum "motor" that controls air direction has failed or is stuck.

No air coming from dashboard vents

Check the vent settings on the air control unit. If it is still not working then refer to a mechanic to have the air unit looked at for elecrical problems and to make sure all the air vents inside the ducts are opening and closing properly or that there is not a short in the wires to them or the motors are bad

Blower runs but no air out the vents

You may have some debris blocking the passage of the vents. You may want to open the dashboard to investigate further. The blower motor may be running but it may not be driving the actual fan.

Main dashboard air vents

there is an air flow motor that changes the vents and opens and closes them. unfortunitely you truly want to wish this not to be your issue because in order to change it the entire dash AND heater box must be removed from the vehicle as well as the a/c discharged.
