SOURCE: food sticks to basket

i have this problem to. i think the best way to fix it is to drop the basket in the oil with the lid open, then carefully drop the food directly into the oil, that should cause the batter on the bottom to firm up a bit before resting on the basket. hope that helps.

Hi there:- You mean the products you put into the deep fryer stick to the basket or sunk down to the bottom and stick to the bottom basket. It can be a number of reasons but the most important is the temperature of the oil, it should be 350 degree F or more to do the frying , any temperature below that will be call boiling not frying. Secondly the batter mix ( you should try out and make your own batter mix ) Hope this can help.

What are the benefits of steaming chicken? Is it really much better than frying?

chicken is a wonderful source of good protein and can be a very low fat meal but when it's fried or cooked with creamy sauces, then it becomes a high fat food. Steaming allows you to keep all the goodness of the food without adding to the fat content.

How can I keep food from sticking to the bottom of my fry baskets?

After coating the food in batter slowly dip it into the oil allowing the item to get coated generously before dropping to the bottom of the fry basket. After a few seconds it is helpful to then lightly shake the fry basket.

Bravetti pro 4 litre deep fryer model f1400b. used 3 times and whenever i use batter with like fish, put it in the basket, everything sticks to the bottom of the basket like glue. no matter what i try it...

Hi, this one is a bit tricky: you have to drop the basket first, hold on to one end of the fish without burning your fingers, and give the batter a minute - the whole piece will start to float when the batter starts to cook. You need to flip it over with tongs to cook it completely.

Battered fish sticks tobottom of basket

Laura,

If you are battering your fish yourself, all you need to do is slowly submerge the fish into the oil, in increments of 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, and then 100%. You can do this in less than 30 seconds, you're just giving the batter time to "set". Also, about 30 seconds after the entire fish is submerged in oil, give the basket a good shake. This should dislodge it from the bottom of the basket. Keep your eye on things as the fish is frying.

If it's pre-battered fish, then just drop it in, wait about 30-45 seconds and give the basket a good shake, as I said before.

Good luck!

Do not know how to use

Oil darkens with use the oil food molecules burn when subjected to high prolonged heat.
When frying foods such as fish or chicken use the oil once.

Do not filter oil over to reuse. Storing the oil in the refrigerator may extend the life of the oil, this should not be done ever. This process of chilling the oil and then burning the oil to room temperature causes excessive splattering furing the heat up.

Storing the covered oil in a cool dark place, for up to three months. ( remember to check oil when you use for color, smell, or excessive foaming. Throw out if there is signs of all the above.

This unit has a warranty for one year from the day of purchase.

Cooking:

When starting let unit reheat 7-10 minutes. This will get the heat to desired temperature. Re4ady light will cycle on/off during frying as temperature fluctuates due to food load.
Types of foods cooking: temperatures and time of cooking

Chicken strips 375 F. 5-8 minutes

Chicken pieces, bone-in 375 F. 15-20 minutes

Fish, battered 340 F. 8-10 minutes

French fries, frozen 375F. 3-5 minutes

F375F. 3-5 minutes

Onion rings 375 F. 3-5 minutes

Shrimp, breaded 375 F. 2-5 minutes
When frying frozen food if iced rub off lose as this can make the temperature of oil cool down. Pre-cooked frozen food cooks faster and does not come out oily.

I cannot wait to start cooking in mine as I got it for a christmas gift. Great recipes in the owners manual:

Apples fritters yum yum, beer batter for fish or chicken, deep fried chicken , chicken Kiev, quick doughnut made from biscuits, add topping of ground cinnamon and suger.
