I have a virus on my laptop and can not get past XP2008 anti virus software without them wanting me to buy it. I have downloaded AVG virus free software and tried to run it on my laptop but it will not...

Go with bitdefender or kaspersky this will work well.

It will help you to remove the anti virus ..

Demo version also works fine.

Antiviris keeps poping up asking to drg file to dsc infected it is called ms removal tool?

Seems like you may have picked up a virus. If you have antivirus protection, some cannot remove all viruses. Try running this first:
http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free
You can run the free version and can keep fpr future use, ti will not conflict with other antivirus programs. Download and run the quick scan first and make necessary repairs. You will want to run a full scan, it takes a couple of hours, so, you can wait on that. It also doesn't hurt to have this:
http://www.softpedia.com/get/Security/Secure-cleaning/CCleaner.shtml
Again, you can try the free version, if you like it, you can purchase the full version later. Ccleaner has a cleaner and a registry cleaner. Run the cleaner and the registry cleaner. If you have Antivirus protection at this time and are happy with it, make sure that it is operational and up to date. You can set it to run daily, which I recommend, and it can probably be set to run when computer is not active. If you would like suggestions on free Antivirus, let me know.

Boot disk failure pops up when computer comes on an will not allow the computer to go any further.

There are several possibilities:
1) your hard drive crashed and you can no longer boot off it.

2) You have a floppy or other similar removable drive loaded and the system is trying to boot off removable media which is not bootable.

3) Your boot record got damaged somehow by some software or malware writing to the boot sector of the drive, but your data is still there.

If the problem is #1, you can try a repair install of your operating system and see if that works. If the hard drive itself is damaged, this won't help.

If the problem is #2, I'd just make sure you have removed all removable media before trying to boot.

For problem #3, the way to test this out is to remove the hard drive (with the system powered off, making sure you have discharged all static electricity) and place it in another machine as a "slave" drive and see if you can access the data on that drive. If you can, there's a possibility that you can repair the boot sector. However, this is not really a job for amateurs as there's a very good possibility you can permanently wipe the data on this drive or on the main boot drive of the computer you're using to test with.

When I turn on my computer, nothing appears on monitor

Somehow, if you've been messing with your computer, uv put static through the motherboard. This has ither damaged the processor or chipset, the chipset is the part that makes the usb, display and everything work.
Theres no way out of this except replacing the motherboard and processor. If you went inside your computer, you've obviously damaged something.

Next time wear an antistatic wristband!

Accessing RAM sticks in a Dell dimension 8100 tower

hi,
The following link would give you product manual . This would help you to replace the memory.
You donot have to remove the otherside. You might need to remove the PCI cards, to gain access to the memory.

According to my service provider webroot antiviris is blocking me from sending e-mail

A quick way to test this is to reboot your computer and press F8 as it starts up. Select Safe Mode with Networking and try your email. Antivirus programs do no usually run when you are in safe mode so if your email works they could be right.

Instead of trying to figure out why it blocking your email, the simplest thing to do would be to go to the control panel, add and remove programs and remove webroot. Then reboot your computer and reinstall it.
