UBCD4Win is a bootable CD which contains software that allows you to repair, restore, or diagnose almost any computer problem also has a bios reset tool which can remove your password and bios password ((note you will have change your first boot device to cd))
hope this helps

I would say you have a failed memory (RAM) module. Probably a module in one of the secondary slots since the computer is able to POST and will attempt to boot.

My computer can not boot -BIOS ROM checksum error

to be honest if you have tried to re-flash your bios, and it did not work you still either have hte wrong version or the disc drive your using to flash it from is faulty. try another floppy drive/disc and try again. if that dont work. to be honest it's not worth getting it repaired just go out and spend £30-40 on a new mobo. sorry i'm not more helpfull but i dont believe it's worth spending that much time and effort on an old system like that with this kind of problem. good luck to you. let me know how you get on ok.

it means your boot sequence is first booting your floppy drive or your hard disk is not detected.i think you should check the cmos set-up.you can set it by pressing delete while the pc is booting.disable floppy drive seek.also the boot sequence.the os installed is maybe corrupted, is also one of the problem. refer to the manual if you have.

BIOS CHECKSUM ERROR

Normally a bios checksum error is caused by a dead cmos battery. In a laptop that can be a pain - some are specialty batteries, some soldered directly to the motherboard, etc.

Start the laptop and enter the bois, there usually will be something to tell you what key to press, most of the time it is f2 or f10. Once in the bios set the date, time and boot order, then save and exit the bios. If it boots ok then try to determine what type of battery and it's location on the laptop to replace it.

If you let me know the make and model of laptop I will try to help determine that info and also where you can get the battery. That will more than likely be from eBay....

Hope this helps

BootBlock BIOS v1.0 BIOS ROM checksum error

Kevin, when you do get this going it is going to be a beast.Nice choices on the hardware. It appears that you are getting text in the bios menu and that is a real good sign. One bit of text you typed might be a clue." You typed Detecting floppy drive A media . . .
Drive A error. System halt" And you said that you had no Floppy. On the first screen were you see your time etc there will be something that says halt on all errors. Change that to halt on keyboard errors only. The wording may be different but you get the gist right? You don't want the bios seeing no floppy and halting on that.I hope this helps you and don't get discouraged. There is usually a simple answer.

Biostar P4M900-M7 SE BIOS ROM Checksum Error

The bios upgrade procedure stopped at half , leaving the bios corrupted. The computer now cannot do a regular boot procedure, this is the reason why it cannot recognise some device. If you are still able to boot from floppy, you can restart bios upgrade procedure from floppy. Just download floppy version upgrade and re do setup. Even if you do not find latest bios version, just download a floppy upgrade that is working, so that you can restart your machine regularly , and then do the update to latest version.
If you are not able to complete the bios setup, the only way to fix your motherboard will be flashing the CMOS chipset with a chip programmer device that will reinstall bios straight into cmos chipset.
You can have this done at the service point, in this case consider also replacing your motherboard.
