Thes switches are LIKELY "switched dry" meaning they have very little current to burn off oxidation. The usual cure is to use gold plated contacts, but they usually don't due to cost.
You have two choices: replace the switch or if you can get to the switch, try getting some CRC226 into the guts of it. You can get the CRC226 at Home Depot in the electrical department. Blue can about $2.70. Make sure to only use this product as there are other CRC products there.
