I have spent entire day trying to get my palm set up and the stylus still will not do anything on the screen in spite of the fact that I have done the target thing hundreds of time. I did it when it first came up and after the palm was hotsynced. Now all that comes up on the screen is the target thing. I don't even get the main menu page anymore. When I look at the hotsync log, everything looks OK, but now it won't even hotsync anymore. It is virtually useless.

Can't even do a hard reset.
    Sadness.
Do I have to buy new one?

wont work when touching the screen

  • Anonymous Apr 27, 2009

This morning my Zire 21 quit responding to touch screen inputs. Did soft reset 3 times no resolution.

  • StephiRu Apr 28, 2009

Same problem here. Mine started reading my inputs wrong, so I re-digitized it by tapping on the targets and it seemed ok. I had to do this several times. Then I went to turn it on and my keylock was on. I could not get past that point. Then I did several soft resets to no avail. I have considered letting it die, as that has worked for other problems in the past. Ug. Any help?

I encountered this problem today, and I have figured out a solution!

Switch the Wireless switch on the bottom of the Pocket PC to the Off position, then back on.

Voila, your touch screen should respond now.

Stylus pen using on adobe photoshop

If it is a resistive touch screen you can use anything as a stylus. To test if it is resistive touch it with a non conductive material like something made of wood or wear a glove. If it doesn't work then it is a capacitive touch screen and then you just need to buy any capacitive stylus and yes it will work. Photoshop should work fine too.

The pen has stopped working when touching the screen

If your Leapster 2 will turn on, but the touch screen is not responding to the stylus, try re-calibrating the stylus with the screen using the steps below: 1. Turn your Leapster 2 off, and remove the game cartridge.
2. Hold down the 'hint' button while the game is off. The 'hint' button is the middle small button in the row of three above the directional pad on the left, with a '?' on it.
3. With your finger still firmly on the 'hint' button, turn the Leapster 2 back on. Keep your finger on the 'hint' button.
4. The screen should be displaying the calibration screen. You can release the 'hint' button now.
5. Press the 'A' button on the right to enter the calibration screen.
6. A small '+' sign will appear on the screen. Touch it with the stylus. A new '+' sign will appear. Touch this with the stylus too, and repeat for as many '+' signs as your Leapster 2 throws at you.
7. The screen will return to the calibration screen. You can now turn the machine off. Leave the cartridge out of the console, and turn it back on.
8. Your stylus and touch screen should now be working, enabling you to sign in as usual.
9. If it is working correctly then you can turn it off, add a game cartridge and turn it back on
Thank you for using fixya! I hope I had helped you with your problem. May you have a good day!

My touch screen froze, so I did a soft reset. This didn't work. So I did a hard reset. All seemed to be going to plan until the 'Align screen' appears. I align the screen as instructed but instead of going...

Whenever you do the alignment touch the spot on the screen with the stylus and hold the stylus on the mark until it moves to the next corner.... this may work

How do I change the sensitivity to the screen so that I can use my longnails & not my finger?

you will not be able to use your fingernail on the hero screen. the touch screen is similar to the iphone (capacitive) and different to most other touch screens that use a stylus (resistive).

your finger is required for the screen to pick up where you touch.

there is a special stylus you can buy that will work, but make sure it is specifically for the iphone. a standard plastic tipped stylus will not work.
