How do u know if the cooling unit is bad

First, look behind the fridge at the bottom. There should be a thermostatically controlled fan that kicks on and off according to the cooling needs of the unit. That fan is what keeps the compressor from overheating and failing. After watching it for a while, if it is not ever turning, and if the compressor is hot to the touch, you need to replace the fan. I've done it - not that big a job. If the fan is working and the unit continues to not cool, you've probably got a bad compressor and it's time to call someone.

Goodman outdoor a/c unit top fan stopped working while the family was away from home and now the compressor will not turn on. Only thing happening when a/c turned on inside is the indoor unit kicks on and...

the fan would need to be changed also it may have over heated the pump. if it has been left for a long time in this way it could of done more damage. you could be luck and that the fan might be telling the unit control its not moving so it will not turn on. but to find this out you will need to replace the fan if the fan has 3 or more wire it would have this feature.

Bottom of laptop gets very hot - too hot to put on my lap

Please immediately call sony support, in case your unit is in warranty, they would do an inwarranty repair on your unit. I used to work for sony in 2005, at that time they did not have a policy of giving you a replacement unit in warranty. I do not have any idea now.

The radiator cooling fan is not working. Upon

assuming fuse and relay are fan should be running when the engine is cool/cold, the only time the fan should be running when it reach over operation temperature which then the fan kick on to bring the temperature back down to it operation temperature. both fan work in sync with one another, addition cooling is needed when the ac is running. when the last time have you replace thermostat and Thermos sensor/switch. I would replace both unit if you have not done so. The thermos/switch will turn the fan on when it reach certain temperature and cut off when it sense the temperature drop in the engine.

Fan in our Sharp "Comfort Touch thru-wall a/c stopped

Unless the Unit can be cleaned ( you claim it cools?) but not enough. The age of the Unit is not in you Question, the amount of time you got for 100 bucks is pretty good being you purchased a USED UNIT. With the type of use you claim Running 24/7 and about 5 months of cooling - I'd say you never cleaned the Unit from day one - that might cost you about 100 bucks if the unit can be done in the yard by a serviceman. Chemicals can hurt the Unit if not done properly ( and yourself). It sounds to me like you use it for a Business - if so you can purchase one and write it off .

Magic Chef 8 bottle wine cooler model MCWC8DSCT. When turned on light flashes and fan starts to move but doesn't. Sounds like a relay keeps switching off and on. Do you know what the problem is? And which...

I have the same problem as stated with the light flashing and fan tries to rotate. I found by disconnecting the power wires to the cooling unit, the fan rotates. light works and no clicking sound.
I suspect the cooling assembly is defective causing the unit to not work properly.
Does any one have a part number for this part and where I might purchase the cooling unit. does not have thhe cooling unit.
