Question about 2wire 2700HG-B Router (2700HGB)
I wish to buy a "generic" 2WIRE router (cheaper than from my EMBARQ DSL provider) and connect to the EMBARQ DSL. How do I program/set-up the router to work with the DSL?
You must log on to the browser interface of the router (usually for
2wire they use 192.168.1.254) run the set up wizard it will come to a
screen which asks for a key code, this key code is provided by your
ISP, you can try one of these and see if it works
if you have a PPPOE connection (you have a user name and password to log on to the internet with use this one.
if it is not PPPOE use this
to manually configure the router use this
If these do not work call your internet provider and ask them for the key code.
after that you should be all set.
