    Hello again!

I'll answer your both questions at once...
First, if you have another 8mm camcorder which has a Firewire connection - this will be the most effective solution as you could transfer your footage directly into a DV format, using a capturing software abd a Firewire connection.

If you don't have another 8mm camcorder available, as mentioned above, you should buy/use an USB MPEG2 capturing device, such as this...By using it with a capturing software, which in most cases is bundled with the device, you could capture/preview the recorded videos on the computer.

In case of a problem or clarification or my solution was insufficient, don't hesitate to post me a reply before rejecting my answer.
If you are satisfied, rate my solution with the "thumbs" or (even better) add a testimonial.

    Good luck & best regards,
    Pelu.

How can I use JVC AVX810 with Iphone? Currently IPOD works fine with the USB cable but IPHONE is not recognised. Maybe there is an adaptor that can solve it?

This optional iPod Interface Adapter supports audio playback for the following iPod models - iPod click-wheel (3rd gen), iPod photo (4th gen), iPod mini (1st/2nd gen), iPod nano (1st/2nd/3rd/4th gen), iPod video (5th gen), and iPod classic (80/120/160GB). The KS-PD100 is not compatible with the iPod touch (1st/2nd/3rd gen), iPod nano (5th gen), or iPhone (2G/3G/3GS). This iPod interface will also not charge the iPod nano (4th generation). *Apple firmware updates may change functionality results.

Need to transfer order VCR-C tapes to DVD How

You will need to borrow or buy a DVD-Recorder, either way it's best to follow the manuals instructions on how to connect your camcorder (external device) to the DVD Recorder for Recording to DVD. Most camcorders come with a set of AV (audio/video) Cables for this purpose. On your camcorder you will find a little rubber door that houses the terminals to connect your cables to. Depending on how old your camcorder is you will find a Yellow (video) and a White (audio) and on the newer ones that have stereo capabilities...you will have a Red (audio), all these connections are video and audio Out-Inputs and should be connected to the Video and Audio "In" terminals on the back of the DVD Recorder. Now make sure your battery is fully charged (It's best here to use an AC Adapter for your power supply instead of your battery, which also usually comes with your camcorder if bought new.) and that your VCR-C tape is loaded and completely re-wound. Now if you want to watch this on your TV while you are recording to DVD...you'll need another set of AV Cables that come with a new DVD-Recorder, and hook these cables on the Out-terminals on the back of the DVD- Recorder and the other end of the cables to your TV's Video/Audio-IN terminals on the back of the set. Finally...Set your camcorder switch for Playback, turn on the DVD Recorder, And turn on your TV. Now you can go ahead and record all your VCR-C tapes to DVD! Any other questions? Audio transfer problem

The USB connection should only be used to transfer still photos and mpeg videos from the memory stick. If you're trying to transfer Video (with audio) you need to utilize the firewire connection. If you've transferred mpeg videos from the memory stick and have no audio during playback on your PC, you may need to update Windows Media Player or obtain an Audio Codec.

How do I play MPEG recordings?

Using Windows Media Player You need Microsoft Windows Media Player Version 9 or higher and Sharp G.726 Audio Codec in order to play MPEG4 files from the Memory Stick on your PC. If you are not currently using Microsoft Windows Media Player Version 9 or higher. Important: The Sharp G.726 Audio Codec needed to play MPEG4 files is no longer signed by Microsoft. If Sharp G.726 Audio Codec is not properly installed on your PC, it will not play MPEG4 Audio. Using DivX® You can also download a free DivX® Player and codec to play your MPEG and other video format files. DivX® for Windows is a free codec built to play every version of DivX content. The DivX codec also plugs into your existing video software so you can view and create high-quality DivX videos at a fraction of the original size. The DivX codec also adds DivX video playback support to most popular media players.

Can't transfer dubbed audio (secondary sound) using firewire.

Audio Dubbing on DV: Here's how you do this: Play your tape on the TRV-9 and feed the signal into the TRV-900, using the Firewire connector. Set the TRV-900's audio option to record in the 12-bit mode. When this is done, you will have the video re-recorded on the TRV-900 and the audio laid down on the primary 12-bit audio channel. Then, you can run the tape back through for a 2nd pass in the TRV-900, with the recorder set to the audio-dubbing mode. The audio you put into the TRV-900 this time, will be recorded on the secondary 12-bit channel. You can select either 12-bit channel when you play the edited tape back or you can mix both stereo channels into the output. Once you record on the 16-bit channel, you can't dub audio back onto that recording, without erasing the original channel, as the recording space for both 12-bit channels is occupied. You can't selectively re-record just audio onto the 16-bit channel either, without the video being re-recorded along with it. Both video and audio are sent over the same Firewire connector, so you can't input them from mixed sources, as you can with analog recordings. Only the secondary 12-bit audio channel can be used in the audio-dubbing mode. You can't dub onto the 16-bit channel or onto the primary 12-bit channel. The primary 12-bit channel can be used only when you're recording video along with it.
