Dstv remote not working on any blue dials? Two tv's in separate rooms, one pvr decoder. Only the red dial works on both tv's & both remotes are working & both tvs responding properly.

Is this a newly installed system? If both tv's are responding to the same remote setting (red in case), it means both tv's are set to the same channel. The tv that is connected to the decoder directly (via AV cables, I presume) is supposed to respond to if the remote is set to red. In order for the second tv to respond when the remote is set to blue, you need to tune the second tv until you find the picture of tv2 (the decoder transmits both tv1 and tv2 on the RF/coaxial output and it seems that your remote tv is tuned to tv1 instead of tv2).

My remote control for tv #2 does not respond and i want to know what to do. i bought a new one what should i do

Hi there, Cheri Torres with DISH Network Customer Service here. I came across your post and wanted to see if I could help. If the old remote was not responding to your TV2 anymore you may want to try replacing the batteries first if that does not work the next step would be to try readdressing the remote to the receiver. You can try readdressing both remotes to get them to work with your DISH receiver box. I will list the instructions for readdressing your TV2 remote here for you. I hope you find these instructions useful and if you have any other questions or concerns feel free to email directly at Cheri.Torres@Dishnetwork.com.

Instructions for addressing the remote to the receiver
  1. Take your TV2 remote to your receiver box location.
  2. Go to System Info screen. You can do this by pressing the system info button once or by pressing the menu button twice on the TV1 remote.
  3. Once you are in the system info screen you will see primary remote address (TV1) and secondary remote address (TV2).
  4. Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up.
  5. Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote.Change the number in the small white square to something other then what is already listed.
  6. Press the pound (#) button.
  7. Once the SAT button blinks three times, press record. Note: If successful, the number selected in step 5 will appear in the System Info screen under Remote Address.

My remote number two isnt working at all!

Hello, my name is Cheri Torres and I am with DISH Networkcustomer service. I came across your post and would like to help you get thisissue resolved. For the TV2 remote there are a few steps you can walk throughto get your remote readdressed to your receiver box, I will list these stepshere for you. Make sure that all the mode lights at the top of the remote arestill lighting up. If your TV2 remote is not working at all and also is notlighting up any of the mode lights, what you are first going to want to try isreplacing the batteries. If you have already replaced the batteries and stillnothing on your remote is lighting up you will need to get the remote replaced.I hope you find these instructions useful in resolving your issue. If you needa replacement remote or have any further questions or concerns feel free topost back here or email me at Cheri.Torres@Dishnetwork.com. :)

Instructions on readdressing remote to receiver

  1. First take your TV2 remote to the TV1 locations. Wherever your receiver box is.
  2. Go to System Info screen. In order to get into the system info screen you can either press the system info button on the front of the receiver or press the power button once then the up arrow button once on the front of the receiver. If both of these options are unsuccessful you can try press the menu button twice on the TV1 remote.
  3. Once you are in the system info screen you should see primary remote address(TV1) and secondary remote address(TV2) at the bottom of the screen. For your particular case you will be looking for secondary remote address.
  4. Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up.
  5. Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote.Make sure you use a different number then what is listed in the little white box on the screen.
  6. Press the pound (#) button
  7. Once the SAT button blinks three times, press record three times. Note: If successful the number selected in step 3 will appear in the System Info screen under Remote Address.

Can you buy a universal remote for TV 2 to change the channels? My remote for SAT DISH stopped working the lights on the top come on but I can not change the channel, view the guide etc...

The remote is an Ultra High Frequency remote and most universals are IR MAKING THEM INCOMPATIBLE.

Take the TV2 remote into the TV1 location and using the TV1 remote press MENU-MENU. You will now have a screen up that has remote addresses at the bottom. Take the TV2 REMOTE AND PRESS AND HOLD the SAT button on the upper left of the remote until all lights on top illuminate and release. Now key in a two digit number between 1-16 that is not either number on the screen currently and press the pound sign. The SAT button will flash three times now press the record button until the remote addy for tv2 changes to the new number.

You can cancel out of all of these screens with the TV1 remote. Now go to TV2 see if it works. If not try at the receiver. If it works there have Dish send you a new remote.

Thanks for using Fix Ya.

Setting up remote 2

Ok lets assume you have the correct remote for the TV2 on a 322, you will need to take this remote to the TV1 location . Turn TV1 on and with the TV1 remote press menu-menu. You are now at the sytem info screen. Towards the bottom third of the screen you will see some wording that reads primary remote address and secondary remote address. Now with the TV2 remote press and hold the SAT button until all buttons across the top light up and release. The SAT button will be flashing. Now key in a two digit number between 1-17 that is unique to this remote only. Press the pound sign and the SAT button will flash three times. Now press the record button and the number you chose should now appear next to the TV2 icon. Are you good to go? If so exit out of all screens on TV1 and try thr TV2 remote at its location. You should be able to control the satellite now. If you can't ensure that the antenna on the back of the receiver is present and there are no obstructions in front of it. If you still are having issues - like you have to be at a certain point in the room- the remote antenna may need to be moved from the back of the receiver to the TV2 location Thanks for using Fix Ya.

Tvs sync together

The receiver seems to be in single mode. On the right side of the receiver press the front panel. A small pop open door will open and inside there will be a MODE button. Press this button and ensure both the green and blue lights are lit on the receiver. If they are now but weren't earlier this should solve the issue however there may be another issue.

Take the TV2 remote to the TV1 location associated with that system. With the TV1 remote and TV on press menu menu on the TV1 remote this will bring you to the System Info Screen. Near the bottom of the screen there will be two remote addresses- primary=TV1 and Secondary=TV2. Using the TV2 remote press and hold the small clear SAT button until all light across the top light up. Now key in a two digit number that is different from the original secondary address at this location and also different than the address for TV1. Now press the pound key and the SAT button will flash thrice. Now press the record button a few times until the secondary address changes to the number you selected. Once this is done you can exit out of all screens on all receivers and go to the TV2 location that was having the issue and it should be resolved. I hope this resolved your issue and thanks for using Fix Ya.

Remote on second t.v. not working

Lawrence, you have probably got a remote that needs the address changed. Go to the TV1 location and press menu-menu pn the TV1 remote. This will take you to the system info screen. Now take the TV2 remote and press and hold the SAT button on the top left of the remote until all buttons across the top light up. Now choose and key in a two digit number that is between 1-16 but is different from the number for the TV1 address and press the pound button. The SATbutton will flash three times. Now press the record button until the remote address for TV2 changes to the number you keyed in. Once this occurs you can cancel out of the menu screen at the TV2 location and go to TV2 and verify functionality. If this still has not resolved the issue try the remote for TV2 at the receiver location. If you have sucess here you will need to move the UHF antenna closer to TV2. If you need further assistance please let me know. Thanks for using Fix Ya.

Go to the tv 1 location with your TV2 remote. Turn TV1 on and using TV1's remote press menu-menu. You will be at the System Info Screen. Take TV2 REMOTE and press and hold the SAT button on the top left until all buttons on the top light up. Release the SAT button. Now key in a two digit number from 1to 16 and press the # key. The SAT button will flash three times. Now press the record button until the remote address for TV2 changes to the number you chose.
