Question about Televison & Video
This symptom indicated of missing output voltage(s) in the power supply board. The processor can't power up the entire unit because of this fault. If you have necessary tools and test instrument and knowledgeable in basic troubleshooting, check the output voltages of the power supply. It has a multiple output voltages feeding the main board, inverter board, t-con board, tuner, etc. When first power on, the processor perform voltage check and once detected the missing one it will not power up the power supply. You must check these prior of shutdown to have an accurate reading.
Missing/dropped of voltage is commonly caused by leaky/dried filter electrolytic capacitor (sometimes it has a bulged/dome at the top but not all, it is better to have a capacitor checker to determine its condition), open fusible resistor in line with shorted voltage regulator transistor.
If you can't troubleshoot the unit yourself I would advice you to look for a qualified technician to isolate the problem.
Hope I helped you.
Have a nice day!
