- Clean the video card. erase its pins with an eraser.
- clean the memory especially for built in video cards, it relies in the physical memory of the computer.

On a Samsung SyncMaster 225BW monitor I get a message that says "Check Signal Cable."

It is telling you taht it is not getting the video signal from your PC, this can be due to bad VGA cable, the cable is not seated properly, or problem in the PC video card.
You should try this monitor with other PC or another monitor with this PC to narrow down the cause of the problem first.

S24a300b problem, not detected by pc. message on display say "check signal cable".

Check signal cable means that your monitor wire is not connected properly.
So remove your cable connect it tightly once again.
Tightly connect with cpu and power supply.

Why the monitor says "no

because it doesn't receives any signal from the pc - check the video cable. If the cable is correctly plugged in at both ends then the pc is defective - test it starting with the video card.

How do i get rid of "CHECK SIGNAL CABLE" on my 17" flatron wide monitor?

"Check Signal Cable" message is shown on the monitor only when their is disconnection between PC & monitor or if the cable is faulty. You can get rid of the message, which is built-in the monitor. Try changing the faulty cable.

Hi, what was the LCD displaying is that he is not sensing any signal from the computer video port that is why it is prompting "check signal cable". Have you tried checking the pins of your video cable from your LCD? if OK please plug in the cable again when your PC is already open to check that signal will pass thru and lets see what happen. If still the same, try to isolate it with laptop as external video if you have to check the LCD will work with other PC. If the same, replace the signal cable of your LCD if it is removable to further check the problem.

Monitor displays "no signal" when powered on.

If it has the standard VGA cable just go to your local electronics store and purchase a new VGA cable and all should be fine. I would take the old cable with you that way you are replacing the cable with the exact same type of cable.

Try another cable, or check the plug for bent pins. If they are all good, check that the monitor is set for VGA input (if it supports VGA and DVI) as it may be looking for a different input. Then replace the monitor. It's not common, but video processing circuitry can sometimes fail, and yours may have. New 17-inch LCD monitors are quite inexpensive now, so it would probably be more economical to replace this one than to try repairing it.

Monitor is OK but when turned on the screen is black with a little square that has a message "Dell, No input signal". How can you repair this.

Monitor is not getting signal - picture from pc. Did this ever work or is this new pc? Is PC running? Does it do more than just blow fans? Like hard drive spinning up etc.. Check your video cable connections. Turn off monitor and pc first. Remove and re plug both ends of the video cable. Look for bent pins in plug ends before re pluging. Try a different cable if possible. If not fixed, you may need a new video card. Is this a pc that was working and suddenly failed? Either the pc is not running, or the video card is failed.

Brand new Monitor blank screen says No Signal

There is nothing wrong with the monitor. The LCD is not recieving any signals from the PC. Either you are connecting the VGA cable incorrectly or your VGA card is not set from the PC BIOS. The VGA cable might also be faulty.
Recheck that all the connections are clean and secure. If you are using a PCI-E or AGP card, the computer BIOS should be set to send the video signals through the PCI-E or AGP card. Follow the procedure in your motherboard manual.
If your pc has on-board graphics then you should connect the VGA cable to the on-board VGA out connector.
