Question about Clover Corporation C1704DVR

Open Question

I have the clover C-1704DVR and I can set the time, but when I record the time stays the same. It doesn't change. How do I get it to change as I am recording. Or how do I get the time to work on it?

I changed my settings on a technics SL -D2 as my mums old records did not play as were too dusty which I realised too late when arm and needle slid over record so I unfortunately changed settings ? Wh

First in order to work out the correct setting of the weight on the end of the arm you can look up the make of the cartridge fitted on it. This will tell you the approx weight to set it at. However most turntables need to be done by trial an adjustment, because it's a question of getting the sound right. If it was me I would set the anti-scate to the middle setting and leave it for the time being. Start with the weight. I would set it around 1.5 to start. Then try a record. If the stylus stays in the groove, you are getting close. However if it doesn't at all take it slightly towards the 2 and test again. You keep doing this till it stays in the groove, increasing only by small amounts. Make certain the test record is clean and free of any scratches as far as you can see. Also that it's not warped.
If however it not only stays in the groove at 1.5, but there's a rumble sound than take it down to 1 and test again - again only slight dowwards adjustments. It's just a question of getting a balance between staying in the groove and not getting a rumble. You might only need to adjust the anti-scate on certain records. Most should play good with it set to mid-way.
Headphones will pick up the rumble noise better if you have a problem with that, so use them to test if you can. Otherwise put the bass control to full.
Note: A bad stylus will not stay in the groove!

SAMSUNG SSCDVR ALARM + REC STAY ON

Theres a setting in the menu that makes it do that. I think it might be the scheduled record times that you set in it. to get back to the menu ( the smaller button next to the large round multi button), push stop and when the record light goes out (real fast)!!! push the menu button, then you should be able to change the setting in the menu...
