Where can I get the scematic for the Veco 21 STC voltage control circuit board?

try mailing the manufacturer

hot transistors are usually shorted out, or driving a short!!

a multimeter across the 3 transistor legs (TO-3 transistors have 2 legs & the case which is the 3rd leg) will reveal if they're dead (remove the transistors first as the circuit may give a false reading) - if you get a zero ohms reading between any of the legs it's dead - don't forget to check the smaller driver transistors too,, as a dead main transistor will kill its smaller driver transistor

speakers are marked,, usually 4 ohms or 8, though sometimes 16 ohms - use a multimeter to ensure you have something very close to these values according to the label on the speaker box & measure from the wires at the point where they connect to the amp

power the unit without any speakers or speaker wires connected,, if the transistors still get hot, you're very likely looking at bad transistors

Samsung CRT flyback problem

When fly-back transformer gets damaged, there is a chance to a leak to its horizontal output transistor too. Replace this too. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here.Pull up older posts.

Sir i have a problem w/ my tv. w/ i turn it on it appears a light circle center on my tv screen. before that sir. it has a horizontal tv screen only i replace 100uf 50volts capacitor then. replace it new....

You probably used the wrong capacitor or it requires to change more than one. Check and make sure that there are no more burned capacitor or transistors that may cause such as failure. Good Luck!

Half my screen stays green

the problem is in the color circuit.but this lcd has itcolor circuit on a module,so the whole module has to be replaced.the problem is a shorted kine driver transistor on the module or the reistor on the colector of the transistor is can also be a defective color driver which is a ic..replace transistor.resistor or ic if posible.. if cant,,, then do the above, replace the module.good luck.

JVCAV-N2043TV,Horiontal Output Transistor burns out everytime if fix a new one

Hi There,

The Hor Output transistor is connected to the Line Output Transformer. This transfromer provides a lot of voltages around your TV set but includes the very high voltage to the Picture tube...

These transformers are specially tuned to resonate at a certain frequency,
The Hor output transistor needs to match this if the wiring inside the transformer is shorted by "just a bit" the picture will be visible but the transistor is struggling to match the transformer impedance, from the mismatched the transistor draws more current from the power supply.. runs hot then burns out...

Usually manufacturers provide a Trip circuit that detects that an overload on the power supply is occuring and cuts the power to the Line output stage ...this is usually detected by a clicking sound within the power supply its called hiccuping.

If some one has altered the correct setting on the power trip circuit then the next thing that happens is the Transistor goes Blooooey like in your case.....

So to save you a lot of money replacing the output transistor
please replace the output transfromer as well next time...

But please... please... re-check the power supply trip circuit to save you a lot more expense in the future....

Best Regards From YUBEUT

Yes you have a problem I'm afraid in the pincussion or horizontal width circuit. These circuits usually have alot of high voltage in them and is not a safe place to be experiementing around with. Most of the time, with a problem like this, there are bad capacitors or a correction transistor has failed. If the set is over a few years buy a new one. Good Luck
