SOURCE: In my system i instaled

Switch ON the PC, boot the PC in 'Safe Mode' by continuously tapping F8 button after you switch On.

Let windows boot in Safe Mode and log in to windows.

Go to 'Start'--->Programs--->Accessories--->System Tools--->System Restore

Here you will have to check "Restore computer to an earlier time' and click Next
Now you will find one Month Calendar window with Dates below, go to the previous month by clicking the '<' sign in the upper left hand corner of the Month Calendar and select any date that you see in Bold.

The detail of that particular date should show "System Checkpoint" and time on the right hand side box. Select that date.

Now, Click on Next and System Restore will start and windows will take a reboot.

After reboot your problem should be resolved.

Press the windows key and the R key on your keyboard at the same time,
(The windows key is the flag key usually between the ctrl and alt keys)
In the Run Menu type msconfig and click ok

In msconfig, select the startup tab
Find the program strtdb80.exe in the list and uncheck it
click apply, Then ok

Upon the next boot you will get a different message saying system configuration was changed, To prevent this from re-showing click the don't bother me again option in the bottom left of the info box and click ok.

In my system i instaled winxp sp2; but one error is coming strtdb80.exe Application error please solve my problem

Looks like previously your system invoked strtdb80.exe automatically during startup. But now , since you have formated and installed new operating system, the file got deleted. May be that file was a virus component, dont worry for it. And If you want to get rid of the error message, you can go for a PC tuning tool like Tune up Utilities. This tool will defragment the registry and resolve all problem.

Strtdb80.exe

Go start menu, press "run", and type in "services.msc" (remove apostrophes). look for "OracleService", right click it, and change the "startup type" to manual.

If this doesn't work (meaning it was already on manual), then go to "Program Files" (my computer > C drive), and select and delete the "oracle" file. (by uninstalling or just removing (permanently deleting).

Please try the first option first to avoid data losses.

How to solve strtdb80.exe has stopped working problem

Hi,

You might want to check with Oracle Support for this problem. I've looked into this, and most of the cases related to this error message was with running an older version of the software (in your case, possibly with the developer 6i) on XP.

There may be some compatibility issues. To be sure, you can check with oracle (www.oracle.com) to confirm.

You can also try to reinstal the software.

Regards.
