I have been reading where some people were having some problems with
some of the brands of hard drives with certain Abit motherboards. I am
planning on putting together a new box using an ABIT BX6 R-2 and a 15
gig IBM 7200 hard drive. Do anyone know if I should anticipate any
problems with this set up? Thanks

Ah but the Deskstar 14GXP is UDMA33 mode. All but the lastest BIOS have a
UDMA66 mode bug and the drive in question is UDMA66 mode. Flash the latest
BIOS.

I have had no problem with my 14.4 IBM 7200 RPM drive and BX6R2.03
motherboard. Both BIOS KU and MN have worked fine (no reason to upgrade
to MW, since I run a 300a @ 450).
