Indesit washing machine wi101

You put it on the programme and it fills sometimes ,and just clicks continously and the timer goes around to every click?? I checked the board and all connnections seem ok and there are no hairline cracks?? Pump is fine but maybe i need to check the heater element as I saw a bit about where the timer won`t advance but on newer models maybe its a bit confused. I can`t seeing it being the timer! Please can you help cause we don`t like the washing to pile up!!lol thanks I`ll appreciate it. i have just bought a caravan and washing machine came with it. she said it was fairly new and would be ok. i thought i would give it a wash out as it had been sat for a year. i put a very small amount of w/up liquid in the drum and it seemed to fill up ok. when i went back to it ,the clock was ticking around and around. i have tested the door vaccum and the pump and everything works fine. it drains perfectly. i have had all the pipes off and made sure there is no blockages. all clear. help!!! is this something i can fix?? is there a fault code system i can work to??? with the price of steel as it is it could end up being a now car by next week!!!! please help

which is the wool wash cycleHI there,

We have an indesit front loader. I put one item a small woolen jumper in it and some woolwash. I set the dial to 9 and put the machine on then went out for a few hours. I came home two and a half hours later and the machine was simutaneously filling and emptying and the dial was continually going around and around. I turned it off and later tried to restart it on a new cycle. It continued to do the same thing. I then let it sit for a while and then put it on a rinse cycle then to drain and put some towels in it on a normal wash cycle again and it just continually keeps on draining and filling simultaneously. Please help!!

hya thanx for posting a solution .im the dope with the w/up liquid. i have tried the solution you sugested to no avail, so i have the following info to see if it helps i any way. my washer is a WI101 . when i put it on the finish mark and power on, it does one long flash followed by 3 short ones then long flashes constantly there after. when i put it on a program it does 2 long ones followed by 3 short flashes and again long flashes after that. if i turn the power on and off 5 or more times quickly the dial gets a life of its own and clicks round until it reaches between the finish mark and number 1. pauses for a few seconds and then does half a click more and stops how frustrating is that!! hope you can help

the fault code will be displayed by the number of flashes that the doorlock light makes, if you can count them and let me know i'll be able to diagnose the fault, i think you are on the right lines with the heater, but it's best to check and make sure.

another little tip for you, if the washing up liquid causes lots of bubbles that you find hard to remove, set machine on a rinse cycle and add some fab conditioner, this will rid the machine of all the bubbbles.

hope this helps

Indesit WA6x washing m - dial clicking around...

This sort of problem is usually associated with a faulty control board
If there is a reset point on the timer, then reset it, and try again, if it still does the same thing, then it it is going to be the control board.

these machines will do this if the timer dial has been moved during a cycle, they have a memory chip on the main circuit board.

they also do this if the machine has a fault with the exception that they dont stop, the doorlock light flashes and the timer just keeps clicking.

try setting the timer to a dot on the settings then switching the power on, the doorlock light will flash a few times, turn off again select program then switch back on, machine should now be reset and work ok, if not then count the flashes of the doorlock light as this indicates a fault code.

Washing machine wont do anything

rotating timer knob indicates that there is a fault, obviously, so its a case of going through a checklist, based on info given, check in this order, outlet pump, for open circuit, then heater element for open circuit, then maybe the water valves, you have given little information for me to go on as an engineer, please understand, the more you say the more detail we can give ..... ok cheers with looking for the fault, best of luck and work safe

Indesit w123s on daily wash program no8 it starts to fill stops and emptys then starts clicking around on the selector knob the only way to reset it is to switch off and leave for a few minutes all the...

you need to open up the small door where the filter is and clear it out. Mine does this everytime my son puts his trousers in the wash and forgets to empty the pockets! we've had all sorts, elastic bands, wrappers, and money. Usually the machine still has water in it as the filter is blocked it won't continue the programme until this is clear and thats why the continuous clicking happens.

Indesit Washing Machine not proceedding with the cycle programme after filling with water.

Cant understand how the machine will revolve on the 'spin cycle' & yet you can hear the motor on the 'wash cycle' but yet it doesnt revolve!!
Nomally if the water fills, & the tub revolves without the programmer advancing, its because the heater is not working. ie faulty thermostat, heat element, or maybe a wire burned off in the 'heater circuit'. Check if you have 240 volts at both ends of the heat element, with a meter or 240 volt bulb
                         !! BE CAREFUL OF 240VOLTS!!

I have the same issue, have just returned from a 9 month break and now the washer does the click thing, but if you open and close the door a few times and set to program 4 is seems to work after about 10 minutes! It was perfect when I left, not 18 months old either. Can see it being the timer either, maybe a pickup of some type not detecting a level? Peter
