Take unit out of dash of new beetle

search radio removal keys on ebay. Its the two slots on the bottom of the radio where they go into. Or go to a local bestbuy or car audio shop and they'll pull it for about 20 bucks.

Car audio player won't fit in my model??

It will fit fine. You need to buy a dash kit. http://www.crutchfield.com/p_120997505/Mazda-In-dash-Receiver-Kit.html?tp=861

If you don't want to order it online you can go to best buy and buy one.

I have lost power to my sony cd player in my car

Take the cd player out and run the 12+V to + on 12+V battery.
Run the Ground/Black wire to negative on battery. See if the cd player will turn on. If it does, check your ground in the dash. This is just a good trouble-shooting method to make sure the cd player system board is not fried.

Bad performance

You will need to double check your installation my friend, such as make sure all of the power connections are good. If that does not correct the problem, most likely you have a problem in the radio and these days you can get a good Sony or Pioneer in dash with a cd for around a hundred bucks or so. Good Luck
