Question about Car Audio & Video
Was it OK before with the same connection some time back ?.
You have not mentioned which sub woofer you are using. Any way check the following:
The head unit has 2 sets of RCA out labeled front out and rear out. Then it will have a single RCA out labeled sub woofer.
Your door speakers must be connected to the front and rear out if you have a 4 channel amplifier.
Now your Kicker zx750 is a very powerful amplifier ( 750 watts r.m.s ). Make sure your sub woofer has the same power rating or more.Set your crossover to about 80 Hz and turn on the subsonic filter for the time being.Turn down the Bass boost control to zero.On the head unit keep the sub woofer level to half.
Now with the boot and door closed play some music and see how it sound and if not satisfied turn up the bass level using the Kicker's wired remote control. It should work ok. Cheers !!
