Water inlet pipe at back of fisher and p keeps bulging and then pushing drawer open. I assume its locked but don't know where to fix it/free it from.

It is very unlikely the inlet water hose is blocked. Most likely it has thinned out and needs replacement. You will have to take the bottom drawer out to get to it. Make sure the diswasher is disconnected from mains power and the water inlet under kitchen sink is shut. The plastic plugs on each side needs to be pulled out to get the front cover out and access the slide rails on which the drawer slides. Make sure the front cover does not fall as the controller and panel are held in it. Take the tub out and leave on floor. The water inlet valve and inlet hose are mouned at the back wall of housing.

Model LD 12AW2 not drawing water displaying 1E error

Hi afarugia,

The IE error you are seeing means Inlet Error, this shows because your dishwasher is not getting enough water through in a specific time frame - Please check the following:

- Is the Inlet hose kinked in any way? (This could lead to low water pressure to the solenoid) Straighten it.
- Is the Inlet hose filter (Found when unscrewing the hose form the inlet on the machine) dirty? Clean it.
- Is the tap completely open? (Low pressure)
- Has your home gone under any plumbing alterations? (This could have also caused low water pressure - Too little water)

If all of these come back OK, and it still gives the same problem, I'd suggest replacing the inlet valve (Found on the opposite side of the inlet pipe - inside your Dishwasher), could also be a pressure switch (Found at the bottom of your Dishwasher - accessible from the bottom).

This should solve any problems.

Kind Regards :-)

1. Water is leaking out from the bottom of the machine. 2. Also, wanted to know if you are suppose to manual pipe in water for this model........................thank you.............ong

The first part is that you need to check at the following for leaks.

1. Check for leak from the inlet due to poor water connection. check leak at the inlet valve.
2. Check for leak from the tub.
3. Check for leak from the drain pump/valve or the drain hose.

The second part is not clear but a connection for water and an outlet for drain is needed.( make/model not seen.)

Washing Machine always floods after turning on water. There's a leak when i turn on the water.

Check the water inlet valve. Remove the water supply hoses and check the small screens inside the openings on the water inlet valve. Make sure the screens are there and that they are clear of rust or debris. The solenoids can be tested using a multimeter or ohmmeter. Check for continuity. A lack of continuity indicates a bad solenoid and the water inlet valve assy will need replaced. I will attach a photo for reference. If this not where the leak is occurring, please let me know. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Soapy water left in bottom of tub.

This is usually caused by a cold water supply problem, since cold water is what is used in the rinse. Check the water inlet valve. Remove the water supply hoses and check the small screens inside the water inlet valve (especially on the cold side). Make sure they are clear of rust and debris. The solenoids can be tested using a mulitmeter or ohmmeter. Test for continuity. A lack of continuity indicates a faulty solenoid. I will attach a photo for reference. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Washer just hums when time for the water

Check the water water supply at the water inlet valve. Remove the supply hoses and check that the small screens in the inlet valve are not clogged with rust or debris. The water inlet valve solenoids can be tested using a multimeter or ohmmeter. Check for continuity. A lack of continuity indicates a faulty solenoid and the water inlet valve will need to be replaced. I am attaching a photo for reference. Hope this helped and best wishes.

No cold water only hot water will filling

The water inlet valve solenoid is probably faulty. You can check it using a multimeter or ohm meter for continuity to see if it is faulty. The solenoid is most likely faulty on the cold water side. Here is a picture of the inlet valve solenoid assembly. Hope this helped and best wishes.

Can't get cold water to work

You may have a defective water inlet valve. This is where the washer inlet hoses connect to . The water ports are controlled by an electrical solenoid, which sometimes fail. If you wish to replace the valve, go to searspartsdirect.com and type in your model number in the "Search by Model Number" window. You can find the part you need as item #1 under the "Dispenser Parts" heading (part #8182862). You can also find it at repairclinic.com as item #906483 for slightly less. I hope this information is helpful to you. If you need further advice, please post back and let me know.

PS Try turning off the water and disconnecting the cold water hose & check the sediment screen inside the valve. You may be able to clean the valve screen and avoid replacement altogether.

LG Washer

Greetings julie312,

The "IE" message can mean that water is not entering your dispenser. If you have traces of lime in your water or very hard water, your water inlet hose can become clogged quite easily. To clean this please do the following:

Turn off the inlet water tap.
Unscrew the water inlet hose.
Clean the filter using a hard bristle brush.
Replace filter and hose, tighten water inlet hose.

Your water inlet hose is found on the back of your machine. It is recommended to clean this every few months.

You can also find a link to your manual by following http://us.lge.com/products/model/detail/home%20appliances_laundry_washers_WM2277H___yes.jhtml

I hope this helps!

Thank you,

Dorothy
