Most major manufacturers supply manuals online so if you were to log on to the manufacturer's web site, you may be pleasantly surprised as usually, if available, one is able to download, by model number, Customer Instruction Manuals, Dealer Network for spare part supplies as required.

The information is normally free of charge.

I hope this helps.

2696,2661,2604,2600. Check these codes. If you wish to get more details; check the sites linked here. It has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Common set-up codes to check with TVs and other devices are given, in the order of the "device's brand name" in alphabetical order. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience. Surf the sites by type in the brand name to your set, in its search box.

I have lost the av channel and cant get it back

Not sure why you would need the AV channel. As long as the tv is switched on before the set-top box it should automatically show the video content as soon as the scart receives input.
I have not used the AV channel on any of my tv's since the digital switchover.

I am still using vhs tapes, a dvd player and a dvr top-box and use a multiway scart switch to select which to input to the tv scart.

Nee remote control for qmedia tv with built in dvd

If you wish to buy its original remote control, contact the authorized service center, or authorized dealer to your device brand.
To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. There are 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 2 digit and even single digit codes, to some brand devices. After confirming this, check the sites linked here. Both the sites have set-up code list and set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Check which brand remote control has set-up code/s to your device brand, and buy that one according to availability? Brand name of the remote control isn't a matter, but it should have set-up codes in its code list, to the device you have.
Please note: Every new universal remote control will have set-up code list, and set-up procedure along with its user manual. Never accept a remote control, that hasn't both of this. If you see the site by "MOSAIC" view, will make surf easier.

If you wish to get more details, check this site. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Pull up older posts there. Setup code list and setup proceedings to many popular brand remote controls are given. Two digit, three digit, four digit and five digit setup code list to different models remote controls are given. If you search the site in Timeslide option, which can be selected from the drop down list at the top left of the display window, it will be easy to locate the related post. You can also do a search by type in the brand name and model number to your device into its search box at the top right of display window. Check this link too. http://electrohelponline.blogspot.com/.
Don't mind about the brand name of remote control. Look for codes to your TV brand, whether it is 3 digit, 4 digit or 5 digit; whatisover.

I have lost the manual and would like to hook up the VCR to my TV in order to record programs. Can you help? JVC Video Cassette Recorder HR-D18OU Thank you.

Is the incoming signal OTA or cable? (If cable, is it analog (CATV) or digital (QAM)?)

Most TV's do not have a video out but you should check your TV. Assuming the usual TV with no video out, then you will need a set top box to record any program other than analog signals (CATV or a low power OTA option). The VCR only has an NTSC (analog) tuner.

For an OTA signal, take the coax from the antenna to a digital-to-analog converter coax in, then coax out of the converter to the coax in (tuner) of the VCR. Then set the VCR to channel 3 or 4. Set the switch on the converter. (Some VCRs will record Line In or Input, so you could use the composite out of the converter to the VCR.) Then coax out from the VCR to the coax in on the TV and set the TV to Channel 3 or 4 as well. Set the switch on the VCR. (Alternatively use the composite (A/V) out on the VCR to the composite In on the TV and set the input to AV1 (or whatever the TV calls the input). Digital cable will be set up like the OTA, except for using a cable set top box instead. You may want a splitter to allow for watching one program while recording another. In that case, put the splitter before the set top box if the TV has the digital tuner. Otherwise put it after the set top box. In both cases, you will need to use the AV (composite out) on the VCR to the TV.

For analog cable, take the coax cable and connect it to the VCR's coax in. Then connect the coax out or AV out to TV.

Set the VCR to the desired station and press REC. For timed record, enter the menu and set the time to start and end the recording as well as the channel. If you are using a set top box, set that to the desired station and then press record. (Leave the VCR set to Line in or channel 3 (4) as needed.)

Manuals for some JVC vcrs are here: http://support.jvc.com/consumer/product.jsp?categoryId=CATG0002&productId=PRD4600001&archive=true . A manual for a similar model will help since they all connect the same way. However the HR-D18OU is not in the list.

I hope this helps.

Is this model digital

You don't say which model or make the TV is and we are not mind readers at FixYa.
However most TV's made that are digital have on the menu somewhere digital and analogue, because they have two tunners. If you look at the set-up menu and don't see digital set-up or something like it, then chances are it's not digital. If not then the only way you can watch this TV is with the box you mention.

The main aerial goes into the box, then a flylead out of the box into the tv(if you have a vcr or dvd rec then it will go in there first then out into the tv). Then connect the box to the tv with a scart lead.

Lost some stations on my Sony lcd TV.

It is a possibility if you are using a cable tv service, without a converter box, that the cable company has limited the number of station you are able to receive. It seems to be their new ploy to get subscribers to get a box since the digital changeover. I also may be that the TV's tuner memory may have to be re-programmed. Go into the menu and go through the channel scan process and see if they return. If they don'y it may be a tuner issue. An easy fix is to get a cable box!
Hope this has been helpful
