From your question, it is unclear what is going blank, so I will try to help with a "catch all" solution. Since yahoo messenger is a small program we will try to uninstall and reinstall it.
However, before you do anything, try to restart your computer - sometime the simplest solutions are the best. If that doesn't work try the following solution:

  1. Click Start
  2. Go to Control Panel
  3. Uninstall a program
  4. Find and uninstall Yahoo Messenger (a few simple steps will help you)
  5. After it has been uninstalled go to http://messenger.yahoo.com/ and click download now.
  6. Once the file has been downloaded, open it - if prompted click run and/or allow.
  7. Follow the installation screens (again, it should help you)
  8. If prompted, allow it to run or have access to the internet (Yahoo Messenger is safe)
  9. Open messenger, log in, and your problem should be fixed.

How do I text a message.


Hello,
you need to do is to press menu on the phone , scroll on to messaging and press, this will items to choose depending what you want to do , since you want to text a message , scroll to create message and press. note this will bring out a blank for you to type in by using the function keys on the keypad of the phone.After you have finish typing your , press OPTION and input the number of the recipient, then send . Note after you have sent the message , it will give you a delivery message that message has been sent.

While you have already compared settings on the phones, check out these settings that are often overlooked regarding the Internet connection, and not just the messaging portion.

Run through the list, and if it all matches, you should be all set.

From the standby screen, press the Menu Key.
