I have a msi 785gm-p45 motherboard when i boot the computer there is no video on my monitor not even bios shows I'm using the onboard graphics i know it had a graphics card in it before i recieved it...

Hello here is the homepage:

Try to download the manual.
Adobe reader is needed, to read the content.

Yes, the bios can be reset, by removing the cmos battery, and inset it again.
But i don`t think that`s the problem.
Try to renew the power supply, and check also the ram modules, by removing them and insert, one at the time, and try to boot again.

Any beeb codes ??

Good luck

Hello here is the home page:

If you download the manual you need adobe reader to read the content.

This could be a ram failure, or power supply.
Do you have another PSU you could try? This sounds like it could be the PSU or the RAM. Try using each RAM stick seperately, maybe one died.
All RAM can fail, brand RAM fails less often, but it can fail like the worst no name RAM out there.

Does there come any beebs when you press the power button ??

Good luck

Have msi 785GM-E51 motherboard with power but motherboard won't start up

The CPU or RAM maybe faulty.
Computer does not boot up The problem maybe the RAM, it is faulty or just needs reseating to make proper electrical contact.
Reseat the RAM and then boot up your laptop. If it still does not boot up then remove the RAM module/s and take them to your friendly computer repair shop and get them to test the RAM for you. Just like you sometimes need a mechanic to repair your car, sometimes you do need a technician to diagnose and identify the fault or faults on your computer. Not only does a good service technican have the experience to deal with this type of problem, they also have the equipment that allows them to look at things the average computer user can't see, and he has a collection of replacement parts that can be used to quickly test individual components on your computer.

Does the 785gm-e65 support memory card reader - if so which connector do you plug it into?

it is not depended on the motherboard. buy a usb card reader and you will just plug it in an available usb port on your computer.

So i just installed a MSI 785GM-e65 and started up my comp and it wont boot windows now any ideas ? yes its detecting my harddrive and ram, right now im running a repair on windows and if that doesnt work...

when you change motherboards, you almost always have to reinstall windows. windows installs are not meant to be swapped among motherboards, and it is in fact against the windows EULA.
